For all you lucky SOB's (j/k) who have VF Evo, who much better is the AI?

And who are some of the famous characters that have been put into the game?

For the stand point of an Akira player,

    Weak AI

Jeffry(the weakest due to frequent use of throw
    countable moves)

Lion(Doing predictalbe low attacks a lot)

Lei-Fei(has only 3 throw options excluding a normal
throw, so relatively easy to escape)

Brad( Don't get to lose to him a lot for some reason)

    Relatively hard ones:

Kage(have good two way games, and don't miss ten-
    foot toss combo lol)

Wolf(Good at mixing up throws and the knee attack)

Pai(Never miss the kick countable situation. Pain in
    the neck)

The last arcade in quest is great because there are lots of "Haoh" ranked players there that are very tough to beat (most of the time). Overall, the hardest matches you fight will be the tournaments, especially Kakutoshinseiki 2. So far, the best AI I've faced is Kyasao.

I agree with you on Kasyao.

His mix-up game is serious. One time I lost to him

four straight games and forced to move on. I beat him

later on, but it is great to play good A.I in the quest

    mode.

BTW, Did you make any of your character Haoh by

    now? Just curious. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Only Akira so far. I'm working on Lei-Fei, Goh and Aoi right now.

I feel that Yorokage's AI is better. There's one akira in the last arcade that's very strong too, IMO stronger than ohsu's and homestay's in fact, but the name just escapes me /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif

    Weak AI

Jeffry(the weakest due to frequent use of throw
    countable moves)

-Yes the Jeffrey AI is pretty sad, only due the fact that AI never takes advantage of his mid range game, and fails to mix up and use his quick stricking attacks, oh well.

Lion(Doing predictalbe low attacks a lot)

-This is the exact same as VF4 regular, Lion always does the same repeated series of low attacks so you can catch him (especially as Wolf) with low throws and the low punch cut, which he never attempts to counter/reverse.

Lei-Fei(has only 3 throw options excluding a normal
throw, so relatively easy to escape)

-This is only the fault of Sega being to lazy to make the Lei Fei AI even closely resemble some of the top LF players, and of course no one should count on AM2 to make an accurate AI Hrehru, VF4 LF sucked, and so does Evo's, in fact, not even all of his moves are programmed in the AI script, WTF is up with that?

Brad( Don't get to lose to him a lot for some reason)

-Sega still hasn't figured out all of his combos, so they left him with a VF4 type AI routine, little knowledge of combos and bad chain series with frequent use of counterable canned combos, horrible just plain horrible.

    Relatively hard ones:

Kage(have good two way games, and don't miss ten-
    foot toss combo lol)

-Kage becase the AI knows when to start large Air combos, and like mentioned, never fails to finish them, kinda cheesy, but effective nevertheless.

Wolf(Good at mixing up throws and the knee attack)

-Yup, Wolf is good in Evo, a hell of an improvement over VF4, the AI series are succint and hard to counter also.

Pai(Never miss the kick countable situation. Pain in
    the neck)

-Modeled directly after Tsuchikumo, ever since day one of Evo he has been the best Pai player hands down, I know Sega did a good job capturing his AI data, as they took like a ton of it from him.

    Nice analysis. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I think we will face way more serious A.I in VF5, which

will be so great. And then I might find myself posting a

thread like "A.I in VF5 is insanely hard. I need help"

    kinda like that.

One thing I can confirm is that AM2 will update the VF5 arcade AI to human like skills

    Actually, you can't confirm anything.

Why wouldn't Sega wan't to make aprogressive game, and have you ever played a VF machine especially Evolution in the arcades sans a human opponent, you will know just how boring fighting the damn AI can be, they are awful, there is no denying that the AI in VF5 is going to be hell of a lot better in all modes, and not progressive with stages, equal all around!

That's all good, but you still can't confirm a thing. You may suspect that VF5 will have special AI. Good - well done. That's not the same as 'confirming' anything. While we're here, I can confirm that Akira's 2P costume in VF5 will have his balls hanging out. They will be animated with realistic physics, and will get progressively more sweaty as the fight continues (this feature will be disabled in the US version). Or maybe I just made that up because I'm a clueless fanboy cunt? Who knows.
