fastest stagger and ground recovery

    The methods I know are:

    Stagger:

    1. Circling the stick and trigger all 3 buttons as fast as possible, then press G or something like 2P with the right timing to get out of a stagger.

    2. Holding the stick down and switch the stick as fast as possible from left to right + trigger all 3 buttons. Then G or atk.

    Getting up from the ground:

    1. P+K+G for excact recovery

    2. Circling the stick + trigger all buttons. If the timing is right one can choose what to do next. Side roll, M or L atk or recovering in place.

    3. Circling the stick + trigger P and G buttons. Good for siderolls or in place recovery.

    4. Circling the stick + trigger K and P buttons. To attack with K.

I mostly circle the stick 2 times and trigger all buttons to get out of a stagger and to stand up. But it's always a bit messy and I have problems like the char is crouched for very short ammount of time and gets hit with a mid atk. Sometimes its too slow and with chars like Vanessa in def style she does a 2/8 P, 3/9 P or 1/7 K move and gets hit.

Which methods do you use? What works best for you?
The players here that always do the fastes recovery possible, how do you guys do it?

I would really like to know, since it's very important in VF.

I know this is an old post, but I was also wondering the best method, particularly for struggling out of a stagger. Do you need to press all 3 buttons for best result, or is a specific button (such as just the guard button) a better/faster method for stagger recovery? As for the joystick; I usually find myself rocking it as fast as possible from left to right.

Hold guard, rotate the stick trying to hit all 9 directions as fast as possible.

Concentrate on accuracy over speed at first.

Yeah, Throwmasta, you're wasting time by going /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif with the stick. The key is getting the most input entries in as quick as possible. Circling the stick is the best solution, and like Elite said, concentrate on hitting all the diagonals. Tapping the buttons will help, but concentrate first on circling the stick when you get staggered, and holding /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif

Really, so continuously spinning the joystick in a complete circle (as if to do a final atomic buster with Zangief x whatever), and holding the guard button in, is the best possible way to struggle? Also, tapping /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif while holding in the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif button helps as well?

basically you mash P, K, and G as you rotate the stick. but if you want to block an attack that directly follows a stagger, you must time G in order to succesfully block the attack. test it against wolf's P+K(full charge), 6P...

if you block 6P, you've struggled successfully. if you get crumpled, try harder...

this isn't TOO difficult to struggle out of. there are other staggers that are much more difficult to recover from such as leifei's low kick from stance.
