1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. Right now, as far as we know, the only way you'll get to play FT is either playing it at an arcade that has it, or buy the Naomi2 kit from a source in Japan.

Hmm, yeah Ive about lost hope of ever seeing FT at home. Perhaps sales of Evo just werent good enough to warrant another port, who knows. I still say that overall, it would be worth it financially to port FT to Xbox, sure it wouldnt sell well in Japan due to lack of Xbox sales, but depending on how Evo did, it may not fare so bad. And here, sure VF isnt that popular, but Xbox has like ... two real 3D fighters (and most wouldnt count DOA as being a real fighter anyway). It'd probably do alright with the hardcore base alone.

Ah well, then again, perhaps VF5 is all they work on these days, a port of FT would probably be like looking backwards.

Nah, if they do make FT for a console it should either be on ps or both systems. It just wouldnt be fair to the ps players. Xbox people only like to play NFL football games and shooters, I have yet to find anyone I know that plays even any fighting game. Besides ps has the controller advantage which attracts more fighters to be more easy to be played.

i played it in orlando at dinesy at tomorrow land in the magic kingdom.
and i did some looking into and guess what >.< it's only for japan >.<
and it came out last year.
but!.! these a small chance that this year it coming to the us.

It did come out in Japan, last year, ONLY in the arcade. I don't know if that's what you are referring to, but didn't want things to get mixed up.

Final Tuned never came out for home anywhere in the world, are you sure you are playing FT in Disney World? Seems strange since the game is not legally distributable in the US, and Disney World is not one of the places that I would think to operate a machine illegally unless sometimes before this post it came into distribution in the US.

yeah i played it at disney. they have all three versions plus the first Vf and the one from the DC and next to it it was Jet set radio future.

i had checked on one of the fourms at ign.com then i didn't believe it then so i checked about the news on g4tv.com and msn.com and it was saying that it was japan only.

hmmm.... i think you were right now that i relooked at it.
when i posted last it was late and i may have thought it said home ver as japan only.

Well if there's no FT console news at E3 next month, then I think it's safe to say it's not coming out.

true....i can't find my Vf4 evo...if i can't find it tomorrow i'll just have to buy another one >.< so when i do. i'll ask the guys at eb games there mostly right when it comes to VF.

LOL, the guys at eb games? Dude, unless they are like into this game, well even then, they wont know any more than what you'll find here. A general rule of thumb, software stores in the US are next to last to know about what games are going where and when. Especially when it comes to releases from Japanese companies. They are sometimes semi accurate about domestic stuff like from EA, but not often from Namco, Sega, Tecmo, the like.

But yeah, generally speaking, by the time its in EB's computer with an accurate date, there has been screen shots and video online as well as preview builds reviewed most often.

Eb games, and gamestop dont know jack shit about VF. They think the game is pure crap, and they refer to those who actually take the time to play the game as "one of them." But hey, some people cant comprehend a 3 button game, let alone a 4 or 6 one. SO go to hell Eb/gamestop mainstream whores.

while it would be nice. I don't see it coming to console. It would be too much imo despite the changes made. I would buy it no doubt, but I'm thinking the average consumer.

Don't loose hope yet guys. I also have that sad feeling when Capcom's Street Fighter II and III series aren't coming to PS2 and RE4's out of the question but look at now? Hyper Street Fighter II came as well as Street Fighter III 3rd Strike! And RE4's on the cards as well. Maybe not sooner, maybe next year, but it may come. Just wait....
