They actually say that this could be the definitive version for hardcore players due to the improvements to dojo and the ai. Here is a first look (ripped straight from NeoGAF):

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">today GamesRadar has put up a first look at the 360 version of VF5. i traveled to AM2's HQ in tokyo for this story, and i got to see the 360 version live and in person. i also conducted a video interview with two of the AM2 developers. later i was able to tour the club sega arcade in akihabara, but more interestingly, i was able to interview one of the managers, too. not something you see online every day...

Great!! This is good news for me since i just got my PS3. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/mad.gif

Unless the 360 version has changes in gameplay and not just the extras, i don't see it to be the definitive version for tournaments and gatherings. The updates on the other modes are nice to teach beginners though. Also, I don't see Sega releasing the VSHG for the 360.

It will end up being the definitive version for gatherings if people can take their player data around, and if they do release a good stick for it. I hope some interviewer eventually asks questions us players care about. There are a lot of things like that that they said SEGA wasn't ready to talk about, so we'll see. There are still 3 months left for all the info we want to come out.

I really hope they come through with the features list on the Xbox 360 version. Such as possible leaderboards, player save data, system link, gameplay tweaks and modes.

i dont think there will be any gameplay tweaks just added features.

There is gonna be enough to make this the definite(for now) version.

    Sweet! It'll support analog!

    jk...

I really hope they make the 360 version compatible with the VSHG. They should, but the faith in Microsoft letting that happen isn't too strong...

If we could store inidividual profiles on memory cards, that would be great (though memory cards are freaking expensive).

Better anti-aliasing, that is nice. It's surprising how many people don't like the VF5 graphics as much based mainly on the anti-aliasing...

Better AI, more costumes, better training mode. That would be swell. And expected. Actually, if they have a training mode package like VF4:Evo, that would be awesome and I could point to that. It's still awkward reminding beginners to try practicing on Evo for PS2.

Constant updates to keep at least the custome set up to date with the arcade would be pretty nice. Being able to patch this game with any system changes to reflect the arcade would be sweet.

Online play... the pandora's box that we'd all hate here, would be misleading for the gameplay, and yet would potentially rock this game to stardom in the US... And destroy the awesome gathering scene as we know and love it (and is ultimately one of the best experiences you could have for a fighting game--"no, not just tournaments. Gatherings!"). Fortunately, Online Play won't happen.

For players like Denkai and Ladon... PS3 version is probably the definitive version because the 360 controller is absolute @$$. I assume there might be a decent PS2 --> 360 adapter out there though.

And oh yeah... just today, I got impatient, happened to have the money, and bought myself a Blu-Ray player that happens to play VF5 :p Even though I recommend most people wait on the Blu-Ray player until late 2008...

But I just had to play VF5 at home... like now...

Think some games look better with the AA, some worse tbh. Resistance and Motorstorm I think look amazing with a crisp look, but Ridge Racer looks better on the 360 imo.

Check it out for yourselves. The AA is looking mighty nice. Screens look a lot more clean and crisp:

Are you stupid? Hardcore players play with improvements to dojo and ai?? I'm sure all the hardcore players are gonna have a ball on those xbox360 controllers, and all the great graphics! Oh yeah i'm sure the "Screens look a lot more clean and crisp" from a screenshot from someone who's never seen the arcade nor own the Ps3 version of the game. Pleast shut the fuck up here and try to live your life somewhere else.
Let me tell you what the xbox360 version of VF5 is gonna be... It's gonna be the ps3 version without the sticks.. Thank you Sega for "fixing" something that you broke intentionally so people would buy the game twice. Now let's hear from all the xbox fagboys! You are all fucking morons.

I've played the game a fair amount on the PS3, and those 360 screenshots definitely look better. No need to play that down, it looks fantastic. The most troubling issue remains the stick situation...I already own the Hori, but I realize there is no comparison. Is there an "official" word re: VHGS on 360?

i thought vf5 for xbox 360 was gonna be usa/europe exclusive so there probably wouldn't be a virtua stick high grade since it was only made for the the japanese market.

hori will probably come out with another low budget u.s. market stick similar to the doa4 one, if not for vf5 then for the super turbo hd.

I dunno, I can assume these are dev shots but it looks kind of flat to me right now and I certainly don't want it to be smoothed any more than it already was. It looks like a flat, fuzzy image, to me, on the 360 version.

    end the fanboy wars.

I own the VF5 PS3 version and its great. Yeah its hard to accept that the X360 will include enhancements.

Not surprised really. Look at the differences between Virtua Tennis on the 360 vs PS3,ie online play.

I will still enjoy VF5 on PS3, but I hope SEGA can patch/enhance the PS3 version, they did provide updates for SONIC.

It will be great if more people play VF.

None of this would be a problem if the damn DoA4 stick was in more available numbers. If you are really hardcore you can get a modified DoA stick or a custom stick for probably $80-$150. But a commercially rereleased stick would be nice.

wow you folks amazed me, those saying it looks better than ps3 version based on those screenshots, it looks the fucking same!!

for all we know it could be the japanese ps3 version (notice japanese text in there...) who knows.

dont get me wrong i wish (or really dont care) that it'll look better than the ps3 version (why??), as im one of those waiting for the xbox version as well, but cmon, to think it looks better based on those screenshots its plain stupid.

they should release a new stick for the xbox since those d04 sticks are impossible to get. Maybe something with the form and the shape of the fs3 but with siemitsu(sp) buttons and stick. Still cheap and will go off the shelves in no time.
