I have been playing fighting games for about 13 years but I have always used dpads. I deiced about a week ago to try and convert to arcade sticks. I just got mine today and wow its freakin crazy. Can you all recommend some techniques to use to get use to the arcade stick or does it just take time.

It takes time. Practice the command list as often as you can. Also, something i did is that I would do forward dashes, back dashes, forward crouch dash, and backward crouch dash for a minute each.

I got this idea from my guitar exercises. In the guitar I would do hammer-ons and pull-offs (basically pressing the string up and down) with one finger for a minute and so on. This strengthened my fingers.

Rest and stretch your fingers in between exercises. Goodluck!

It takes a lot of time but for VF it's better in the long run.

Multiple Crouch dashes in VF is done by moving the stick quickly between d and d/f or d and d/b.

I'm in the position as you, currently I am awaiting my HRAP, my first arcade stick. I'm gonna exchange the Hori buttons with Sanwa's. I switch to stick because I want to fasten my stepping, since using a dpad my thumb kills me after 2 hours of battles with lots of stepping.
