1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. [IMG]Gamespot's Maxwell McGee and Sega's Patrick Riley went over the various features in training mode. This includes the tutorial, record function, frame data, and command/combo training.

Near the end of the video, they also covered the customization mode. This would be the first video in English to show off the customization mode in detail. So go check out the youtube video!

At 2:07 the screen says that Shun's PPPK4 is called Renkan Chougeki~Choukarou, but that actually leads to Soukokukyu.

I'm still gonna buy the game though.

Holy shit that record mode just got me so hype. You can record up to THREE things at once and have it play them back at random?

The possibilities for learning to defend against mixups is just fucking limitless.

Pretty far from Evo's training and sorry to say the 'combos' section looks like a joke. Trying to play it off as a positive thing that they will work on all characters and non of that fancy special stance / weight thing made me laugh

The VF4:Evo Training mode definitely have lots of features that make it stand out better/cooler/more comprehensive - glossary guide, a combo database, elaborate slow motion options, elaborate record action settings, "throw" guaranteed counter icons, etc.

The VF5FS training mode features are still a major improvement over VF5. Some features that Evo Training Mode does not have, but FS have are: Easier Frame Data display (though it looks like it is lacking some displays seen in the arcade) and hit checking options.

No better way to learn than by getting your ass kicked and trying again and again.

Unfortunately some people will never be happy. Poeple will always find something else to complain about; I think it's a hobby for a hell of a lot of members of the human race.

The fact we're even getting the sodding game AT ALL is a bloody miracle. But that's not enough, apparently.

I agree. Hopefully the game will be updated with more combos later on.

The same goes for the tutorial mode, that seem kind of thin judging from the video.
