GBA SP and NCSX

Ok so this is brief but I tried to preordered my SP from there and I found out that there is going to be problems due the limited supply. I was hoping to order a VF4 evo stick from there next month but now I'm a little disappointed with them.

Anybody else have any problems ordering from them?
Did they try to charge you more days before it came out?

 

NCSX is by far my favorite import suplier. The problem with the GBA SP is universal as it's hard to get them outside of Japan for some reason. It's actually very good of them that they update their customers with all the news.

So in short, NCSX never failed me and I still have my GBA SP preorder with them even though they might not have it available for me /versus/images/icons/smile.gif. But if you are not comfortable buying stuff from them then that's another story.

Did this actually happen to you? Are you saying they asked you to pay more after you ordered?

 

Actually now they are emailing me telling me to not buy it at the 175.00 price and to wait until the price drops. I haven't cancelled my order I think I'm just going to have to stick it out.

Maybe getting an Evo stick would be easier because not everybody will want one eh? To answer your question they haven't charged me more. They would taste my pain if that happened.

 

I saw the SP at one of the local stores here. I have not checked the price yet (was in a hurry).

There are two colours available - indigo and black. All I can say is it's really small compared to the present GBA, like a mid-size wallet(when folded). Cool.

I'll check out the price and give it a try later today. Probably very EX.

OK, I just checked with the store here and the guy quoted me S$290, and with the approx exchange rate of 1.76 that'll be US$165.

Hmm..I don't know Almaci, I am still not comfortable ordering stuff and giving my card nos over the net. Guess when monies is concerned, I am still the old-fashioned brick n mortar guy.

Anyway, the owner advice is to wait till end of march or april, by then the price will probably drop by 30-40%. According to him, the current high price is due to the japanese demand that push it to around 34,000 yen!? How true is that I have no idea.

 

Right now they only show the Platinum preorder for 160.00 maybe they got cleaned out.

I used UPS 2/3day, I was tired of waiting. I also had to Paypal them the money. Though it all seems worth it after playing it for the first time last night.

I guess you could just wait 4 more weeks for it to hit stateside, but in all likelyhood there will be a shortage. It really depends how patient you are.

 

I will actually still stick with NCSX /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif. I got the Final Fantasy Tactics Bundle from them about 10 days ago, but It was for a friend. I still like to get the import GBA SP if only because the Japanese packaging looks MUCH better than the US one (Yes, I care about the packaging. I am crazy /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif ).

But you could have gotten it from NCSX with UPS for about the same price too /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif. They asked me if I wanted when they first brought it for around $153 but I decided to wait to see if prices would drop.

I have to admit though, that Pearl White GBA SP is just tasty!!!

 

Agreed the pearl white SP is a probably one of the nicest looking Gameboys I've ever seen.

I thought about getting that one but I have so many other games and things to get this month I couldn't dream of it.

To keep OT, I was just fed up with NCSX, though I will order from them in the future.
