gears of war 2 or Fallout 2

So if u were going to get one or the other, but not both, and ur plan was to get and play it with ur bro, which one would u go with? Does fallout 3 even offer online play? Thanks for any feedback peoples.

 

well i got both, I'd go with gears if you want the whole multiplayer experience, the campaign has improved alot with a better story and horde mode with friends is great fun. think gears 1 with lots of improvements.

as for fallout 3 its only single player i'm afraid, and offers no multiplayer on live, if your a fan of oblivion then this is a must, its extremely deep in terms of your own character development and the combat system is pretty sweet, good mix of action/adventure & RPG.

(Ive made Kenshiro from fist of the north star, its awesome to be able to wander the wastelands and take care of super mutants and raiders with only my fists, got a great perk where theirs a high percentage that I'll punch limbs or the head off, its a very violent game /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif )

(oh and i made Chuck Norris... Nuff said)

but if you want to play a game with someone etc etc. go with gears 2.

Ditch both of that shit and get both Fallout 1 and 2.

 

both are great games (have em myself) but if i had to choose it would be be gears 2....it's a huge step up from the first game. the campaign is far more engaging and the multiplayer is a riot, especially horde mode. visually, it makes you feel like you've got a new console again.

Seriously though, Gears 2 is awesome, and you should buy this ACTION game if you're into action games.
Also, You have to buy Fallout 3, if you are into RPGs...
...see, those are completely different types of games.
I can honestly say though, that both are too good to miss any of them. (Personally I'd buy F3 if I had to choose, but that's just my opinion )

 

not an RPG fan...so I would go with Gears...picked it up on friday...games awesome so far...esp the new weapons

I vote you get Gears. Just add Feck to your friends list and make sure to invite him or else he gets cranky.

 

He'll have plenty of slots free soon if he's going be deleting them left right and centre. If you're on Gears, you're off his list.

Gears 2 is a great game. Epic have improved it in small ways over the original, which combined make it much better.

Gears2 single player campaign is really good, and improvement from the first. But the multiplayer......They need to bring the shotgun back...At least some of it. It freaking sucks. Is all about the lancers and chainsaws. At least that sniper bullshit is gone.

 

Sniping is much better now. I love it because I usually don't get competition for picking up the rifle. Also, when someone gets it, they find out the hard way that they have to be accurate with it this time. The shotgun is hella useless though.

 

I just sold back fable 2 and SCIV (which I was soo done with) along with some other games I wasn't using anymore got 99 bucks and just got Fallout 3 and Gears of War 2

 

I hated how powerful the shotgun was in Gears 1. People used to run directly at me while I was nailing them with the lancer, roll and then take me out with one shot. (which half the time seemed like it was a mile away anyway)

 

I know what you mean. They needed to fix the range, but not the strength of it, is a FREAKING SHOTGUN.

 

Sad to say i just completed campaign with a friend, and the story this time round is fantastic. Better cinematics, better action, pretty emotional as well in parts. And it actually feels like your working towards something this time round (more so than gears 1).

The shotgun does seem a lot weaker in both horde and campaign, haven't tried it in multiplayer yet. But by the sound of it seems like they're trying to encourage chainsaw duels rather than having one player revving the chainsaw and the other just blasting him open with a shotgun at close range.

fallout 3 is a great game. lol i spent alot of hours already on the game killing mercenaries, raiders, deathclaws,enclaves, brotherhood,super mutants,and other things
