Finally, 82 days after placing my order, I have received my brand-new custom built arcade in a box hybrid stick!

Slim Arcade Custom, Sanwa JLF joystick, buttons are Semitsu (obviously). PS3/X360 toggle switch on the back. The USB cord is rather short, but I ordered the 6' extention for only $5. Start is on the left side of the stick and select/back and home/guide are on the right. Also, the molding is chrome (actually, chrome-like).

So far I'm impressed with the overall quality. It has some weight to it, but not too much. I'm a lap player and the size is exactly what I wanted. Theres plenty of room to rest my hands and the buttons/stick are very responsive. I won't talk about the buttons/stick beyond that, because if you've used one Sanwa/Semitsu, you have a pretty good idea what it feels like.

I'm also impressed as hell with the print quality. As a graphic designer, this was my biggest worry. I thought the print might look shotty, or low-res, but I was wrong. A perfect 300dpi print, with a nice clear coating on top. The coating has a slick, plastic-like feel, but its slightly textured so that it doesn't actually slip. I was also worried that they wouldn't set my design right, but again, I was wrong.

Anyway, on to the pics! Questions/comments are appreciated!

The FedEx website lists the package as "7.0 lbs/3.2 kg", so its a little bit less than that.

Thanks so much. I wanted to give each button a "vocal" equivalent. So you'll notice block is "SHIT!", because well... we've all said that out loud at disadvantage /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

It's lighter than I expected then, looks like it would have been heavy from the pics.

I might get me one of these sticks.

The body is mostly wood, so I think that keeps the weight down. I was worried it would feel "dark-matter-ish" like the VSHG, but it doesn't. Its pretty well balanced.

But I have some bad news. AiaB no longer accepts international orders. I guess it has something to do with the shipping costs. Plus their prices went up overall. Mine was about $300 after shipping, but now it would be that price before shipping. So its like $20 more expensive.

If you have a friend in the states who you trust, you could have them order it and ship it to you after. You'd pay a lot for shipping, but its better than buying a new EX2 every 6 months!

That descriptor is so full of awesomeness. The next time someone comments on the weight of my sticks, I'll mention they're made of dark matter. So fitting!
