Gran Turismo 4

Heard the release date has been pushed back yet once again /versus/images/graemlins/mad.gif. Simulation fans are going crazy--so can someone plz inform of the release date???

 

i think its coming out quarter 4 this year (fall?). let them polish all they want, as long as it comes out this year with a GT Wheel Force package =P. they should really hurry it up though cuz that prologue they released is not gonna last long. its gonnna be an amazing game. i heard the prologue could pass as a decent racing game itself, better than half of its compettion right now... (and no, i dont have reference, just something i heard =P) sad but amazing.

 

They are yet again retooling the game and had decided on putting it out around the same time as Halo2 long ago.

 

Yeah, this game looks sooo freakin good, but does anyone also know when Intial D second stage is coming also? I love drifting!!

 

Initial D Arcade Stage ver. 3 is already out in Japan.

 

What about any US releases? I'm not too much for Importing racing games.

Even in japan, there is only initial D special stage on the PS2. (Arcade stage are only in the arcade, as the name implies, and there are 3 versions.)

I'm not exactly sure which version the ps2 version is based on, but there is no vs play, and the chances of an US release is slim to none.

I don't care if it comes out just before Christmas. When it's something this good, I can wait. I've played all the previous GTs so much...and GT4 is THE BOMB.

We all want Polyphony to take all the time they need with this one.

 

U can always buy a Silver Japanese playstation2 wich includes a newer version with more cars, licenses, tracks & parts. I think it was caled Grand Turismo 3roject. The only bad thing is that is only in Japan.

Gran Turismo 4: Prologue... its their way of either robbing you of your money or keeping you busy until the "real" game comes out.

 

The name its kind of weird, it makes the game sound as if ihas some sort of story when we all know it doesn't. Either way it has more things so it might be worth the 20 dollars.

 

It's fucking worth 20 dollars allright...better than spending 50 on a piece of shit racer like NFS:Underground.

 

C'mon Underground isn't that bad, but you're right Gran Turismo is boss of all bosses. Not even comparable ! I'll wait for the full version though.

 

Yeah, what Oni said. NFSU is alright /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif GT still whips it soundly, but at least NFS is a decent racer underneath all the glam-glitzy-bling-bling.

Besides, they got something right with letting you mod up your car. All those visual mods are fun to put on there, I confess /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

 

I havent played NFSU so I don't know, but my friend told me it was a piece of crap, but the thing that bothers me is all the good reviews it got.
