Great Jacky move - Combo opener

I just found out this move for Jacky. I dont think anyone has posted it yet but Im not sure. So here it is...

When you do Jacky's Step-in Sword ([4][P]+[K]+[G],[K]) you can also cancel it with Guard. But I found that you can still land the kick and cancel it. It takes precise timing, but you can cancel the landed kick. His leg will snap back if you did it right. This is good because with the Step-In Sword, there is a brief moment where he stalls (like some other of his moves) and this may leave you vulnerable. But if you do this, he doesnt stall and you are left at no disadvantage. It also is a good combo opener, or you can continue off of other combos such as, [6][P][P][K][4_] then do the sword hit cancel and you can continue after he staggers. Before you couldnt really continue off the stagger of the Step-In sword, but with this, its easier.

Hope this is new to you and I hope it may help.

I already stated that I didnt know wether or not this move was posted sorry for the inconvience.

Go to the Home page and click on Jacky on left frame under VF4. Then click on discussion and look for jacky faq, which is about the fourteenth item down. Almost everything you can imagine about VF4 has been discussed but, it is cool to read about your discovery of cold killer tactics . I didn't discover this one myself, I read about it here at VFDC back in the spring. I think you will also enjoy searching site for fuzzy guard discussions and KIL 's excellent game plan for Kumite JB : /versus/images/icons/wink.gif battle. Hey thanks, its nice to have someone on my side for a change. But I dont understand why people dont like Jacky. He is just a character like everyone else, why doesnt anyone like him?

I personally started Virtua Fighter 4 with Jacky and he was one of the best characters.

But thanks you guys. I look forward to having some conversations with you.

People don't like jacky because of many different reasons:
1-Jacky's a button masher character (Beginna Powa)
2-Jacky's attacks damage a lot compared to some characters and they are VERY easy to do COMPARED TO OTHER CHARACTERS.
3-Jacky's hard to defeat to those who don't like him (not all, but many who don't like him, can't defeat him)
4- If you're Jean Claude Van-Damme then maybe it's because your brother or uncle or hamster or something YOURS got killed by jacky (as usual...).

Actually I believe Jacky is highly popular in Japan, according to
players over there...Jacky usage is quite high everywhere, but
so is Lau and Akira. Those that hate Jacky don't necessaryily
hate him because they cannot beat him; it's more about some
players having a reaction to the glut of Jackys out there, and partially
because of his annoying voice work. He's also just insanely strong
even in a rookie's hands, but against really good players the field
evens out. That's the saving grace for Jacky, that excellent players like Shinz
use him but they're no better or worse than if using Jeffrey or Lei. Mainly, people
hate Jacky because he sounds like a cocky bastard, but as
a character his Jeet Kune Do minus the crap kickflip is pretty accurate. You
don't notice this until you play the guy.

Maybe because the Jeet Kune Do remember them Bruce Lee, /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif /versus/images/icons/laugh.gif .

I'll say that Lei-Fei is the easiest newbie player, cuz of his switch between high-mid-low attacks. Actually, Jacky is a hard character to fight with against a player who just picked up Lei-Fei. Against though players using Akira, Kage and Wolf (Jacky's 3 main pain-in-the-butt-opponents), it starts gettin pretty damn though and where the fun begins /versus/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
A friend of mine just worked Lei-Fei up to 7th dan in what...2 days! I have to use all tricks in the book to defeat him with Jacky and if I'm a little off, it's just impossible! So many of jacky's punchs are reversed easily, but then again, Lei's combos are easy to read so you'll know when to counter or use Pak Sao. But damn, that shinkick of Lei's gotta be the most irritating move of all!!! /versus/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

Don't know about the newbies you're plyaing against, but Lei Fei is probably the hardest of the easy characters. Anything a scrub will do can be read like a book b/c of the stances.

Jacky is not as easily as read, and is just as or more high damagin. Until a scrub learns [3][3][P][P] and [8][P]+[K]+[G][2][K] and a couple of other moves (which thye likely won't) your'e safe as a kitten.

Lau tops 'em all off though. I didn't think so until I picked up up and smoked a friend with him.
