yea im gonna have to neglect my normal life for this stack of gaming goodness for a week after i buy this. lol my dream of becoming a moutain video game hermit still burns!!!!!!

 

Next tuesday half life 2 comes out.
All other games are shit out of luck!
PC Zone has given it 97% I can't offord all of these great games that are coming out.
If only I was more dishonest.

um okay halflie 2 may be the next big one, but i aint shelling out an extra 500 quid on modifying my pc just to play that.

 

If PC Zone is to be believed, the recomended spec' is PIII 2.4Ghz 512mb ram and directX9 3d card.
The minimum spec' is PIII 1.2Ghz 256mb ram and directX 7 3d card.
Pretty generous i'd say!

But surely not quite as "gay and sad" as attending a launch party for a game you hate?

Not sure what your problem with a three year turn-over on a sequel is. Unless we're talking sports games or shitty EA franchises the time frame seems reasonable. At least there's a good chance the game wasn't rushed to market like so many bad sequels.

 

yea i guess it is gay going for free drink, same as that konami one a few weeks back.

but at least i dont post on a game forum that im actually not at all good at at and admit i dont play anymore, all that wasted time for nothing, maybe the reallity of crapness has sunk in.

haylo maybe a good game, but its hardly the best in its field, i still say quake2 is better

 

Getting free drinks is teh bomb. Especially if the bill is picked up by a) people you don't like or (as is the case here) b) people whose product you don't like. Well done, mate!

You see the thing is I don't have a complex about my ability at VF, nor do I use it as a means of boosting my self-esteem, so being very average at the game dosen't bother me in the slightest. I still love to play it and, on average, get beaten.

Btw, where did I say I don't play VF anymore? I believe I mentioned something about taking a break with the others in the Scotland thread.

Anyway... fair point about the launch party and yea Halo probably isn't the best in its field but still a good game. I try not to listen to the silly hype surrounding games these days. That way I enjoy them more. The gaming press can't be trusted to impart neutral reviews anymore.

 

To all the haters out there: Please do not buy Halo2. Go on an play whichever games it is you prefer so as not to crowd Xbox Live's Halo2 area.

To everybody else: H2 rulz & owns. I don't even like FPS but Halo owned my soul and H2 has done it again.

feh! everyone knows quake pissed over quake 2. quake2 deathmatch is the fucking worst! QW deathmatch is the fucking best!
and halo is a very very nice game too. especially the sequel. some totally classic moments, especially if you go through it in co-op.
