HDTV Recommendation Thread

I saw the last HDTV thread was in April so I assume the technology has advanced since then. I'm looking into getting a gaming HDTV for my room about 32 inches but there are so many various brands and opinions, I decided I'd ask here. Which brand do you recommend and is 1080p and 120hz best for cutting down screen lag? At the moment I'm leaning towards Sony, Samsung and Panasonic.

Even though I hate Korean recently but I have to say Samsung does good job on HDTV.

 

Everythings cheap now. 120hz doesnt matter with gaming I beleive and most have game modes for fast response. I recently got a Vizio 37' 1080p for 400 bucks

 

Thanks everyone for the responses. Colorful Tengu I don't think I'll be using the TV for anything but watching TV and playing games on it. I'm not sure about plasma TVs I hear those burn and I have a tendency to leave the TV on for long periods of time.
