High Level Virtua Fighter Players

As far as I know it Shinz was a Lei Fei guy but then I see some movies the other day with him playing as Jacky. I know Chibita is always Lion, but is that always? How about Heruru?(sp) I've seen him as Lei Fei, I think that's the guy on the green book, but does he change characters too?

What this boils down to is are these top tier Virtua Fighter guys good at everybody, a couple of people are just plain awesome with any fighter?

Do they have a main character and then a backup that maybe they are ok at? Just curious...

I know there are other big name players but this is all I got to work with right now...

 

The only other characters I've seen Chibita use are: Kage and Pai. I've heard he also uses Aoi. I've never seen footage of Heruru using anyone other than Lei-Fei. ShinZ is good with every character. /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

 

Your right about Shinz I just downloaded some Combo vids from TBZ and everyone was played by him. I'm not worthy. /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Most high level players maintain at least a few sub-characters. I've seen Heruru's Shun, Segahru's Goh, and Kurita's Brad. You can look up which characters people have regged on VF.net. I've only seen one high-level player with a single registered character (Tokyo Megane).

 

Chibita also used Kage and Vanessa in the VF4 ver. C days. Kyasao uses Jeffery (or is it Jeffry? /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif), Lion, Shun, and probably a few others. Ohsu's main character is Akira, but he also plays with Vanessa and Sarah.

It's probably a lot more common than you might think, mainly because a small percentage of the games the high level VF players play are captured on clips.

 

Kyasao, I'm convinced, can use any of them. I'll go check his stats on VF.net next time I have to dump. While Kage is definitely his main guy, his Jeffry and Shun are vicious. I've not seen much of his others, but they're there. The thing is, on Ver. C - he'd get a character above Ha-oh in a few hundred fights, then never use them again.
