Hmm finally go this combo to work :)

    in the 2nd round. I had incredible difficult doing that combo and the combo is a great setup for more hits particular Back kick.

    The combo involves Flamingo stance DF+kick, G cancel,low punch, back kick, P,P,K.

    Wow it seems impossible the trick is to hold up after pressing low punch to instantly but you in stnading state instead of rsing to stance state as with any crounching move. Take some timing to get it tho.


    So the ocmbo is like


    The combo involves Flamingo stance DF+kick, G,low punch, hold up,neutral position, then press back kick, P,P,K.

    If you dont do neutral you do the hold back kick which is not back+kick. THe neutral part can be done in a split second do. Its not that hard when I think about it. Just posting this to help you guys. Oh yea of course more vids of course.

    You can do the b+K from crouch more easily by buffering forward dash, ie.
    f,f,b+K. Thats how I do it after low punch in normal fight.

    I just tested and the combo works up to Akira, although I forgot to check stance.

    There are several nice combos from FL d/f+K counter that dont differ much by damage. My personal grife is that its basically impossible to hitcheck the FL d/f+K if you wanna do the combos, have to input (f) P or G,d+P practically instantly. Well maybe bit more leeway with the d+P. I havent got the (FL) d/f+K combos down in versus matches yet.

    CH (FL) d/f+K - G - d+P - b,b+K,K only does 1 point less for instance and might be easier for the G,d+P continuation. Also works up to Akira I think.

    Against lightweights you get coolness points by b+K+G bounce after the low punch. For instance
    CH (FL) d/f+K - G - d+P - b+K+G(bounce) - PPb+PK Tested on Pai.
    Can use different enders like d+K,K or f+P,K etc.

    ...hmm maybe I should make a combo video.

    oh yea i buton mash guard and usually get it to come out instantly at least 95% of time. The reason being I suxmk at timing this combo but if i button mash guard to a point then i get it instantly most of the time. So I can do the combo in battle no problem.

    No joke, I've never seen this combo before even in a vid! Or maybe I missed something. Either way, it's freaking cool, and pretty hard to pull too.

    MC df,df+K > KP > b+K+G(bounce) > df,df+K does 90 pts and works on all the girls except Van in either stance.

    I find it very unlikely that the 2nd knee of the rising knee combo will connect after a bounce, but I suck at buffering in crouch dashes in combos... If anyone can do it, how many pts of damage is MC df,df+K > b+K+G(bounce) > df,df,f+K+G,K. My guess is that it would be stance specific, too.

    As far as MC dragon cannon combos go, I've maxed out at the 90 pt combo above. I'm not considering wall combos here. Is there something more damaging?

    I'm not so sure, I didn't check when I was over there, still the combo was awesome to see and very suprising, the timing is very difficult though.


    Btw, Itazan taught me some more stuff I didn't know about Sarah that makes me feel a total newb.

    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif does not clash with throws, no joke I blocked Itazan's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif and tried to throw immediately, and all that happened was my throw completely whiffed and the long ass animation of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif nailed me like a second later. It's the most hilarious thing I have ever seen and it's no wonder Sarah's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif was made easier to combo in ver. C. More reasons for why ver. C Sarah is so much better lol.

    Also Itazan showed me how insanely good the 3 hit low kick series from Flamingo and Step is. That stuff is devastating in the long run and in ver. C where FL /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif is much better the advantage afterwards is good too.

    Add in like a whole slew of combos I never knew about, man this dude makes you feel like such a scrub after you play him. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazy.gif

    b+K+G is not throw counterable... but I'll check out the animation.

    Back to my 90 pt combo... It occurred to me that if you ended it with a rising knee it would do 1 or 2 more pts of damage, but again the timing is 100 times more difficult than my combo, and it's probably stance specific. It's kind of disapointing to me that a max damage combo is sort of brain dead simple to do.

    You misunderstand what I'm saying about /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. I said it beats throws 100%, doesn't throw clash ever. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif isn't throw counterable it's -9, however if you try to attack back after it being blocked and your opponent throwing, you will almost always get a throw clash unless you use low punch or as I just learned, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif. Think if it like Lion's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif.

    Dan, methinks you need to brush up on the clash system /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif There are certain classes of attacks that will never clash with a throw. Jumping attacks, like Sarah's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, is one of them.

    Yeah except I never knew it was a jumping class attack, I've never seen dudes use it before even in vids. I always assumed it was too slow to be of use in that respect. I mean the move takes forever to come out, if you use it to beat throws it's hilarious how your throw just whiffs there and then here comes the kick 5 hours later lmao.

    Some other situations you might consider than are Sarah's f,f+K and d+K. They are both -9 on block too.

    The first damage total listed is the normal combo total. However, if you set the CPU with Fall Recovery on, you can get more damage as listed in the parentheses. I maxed the first combo out to 90, and the second combo maxed out to 97 pts. Ouch!

    Something I'll be posting soon is about the penalty you incur for attempting fall recovery in places where it's not possible (such as when you get bounced). The penalty is such that the air combo damage scaling gets reset and thus the total damage for the combo increases.

    Some of us noticed this phenomenon earlier on and thought it was a Training Mode Bug, but in fact it's not.

    So with the above combos, the CPU is trying to perform Fall Recovery whenever it's near the ground, and thus incurs the damage penalty, increasing your total combo damage.

    Thanks Myke. That's the explanation why I've seen 2 or sometimes 3 different damage values for the same combo with as far as I could tell the same timing on my part. So the moral of the story is don't try to quick rise when you're being bounced in a float combo.

    Along those lines is a nasty combo that I've found vs. Jeff:
    (MC)df,df+K > F+KP > ub+K+G
    81 pts of damage if he tries to quick rise, otherwise it does 75 pts against most other opponents.

    Unfortunately, AM2 doesn't classify u+K+G as a jumping attack. WTF!? If anything is a jumping attack, Sarah's u+K+G should be. And while I'm venting about this, it should be a full circular attack too, but it isn't... oh well.

    Eventually, we should add what moves are clash proof to the moves list, huh Myke? =) (I'd be willing to do some of the work... These kind of details are really one of the things I like about the game.)

    For Sarah, beside low attacks, the only 2 moves I can think of off the top of my head that are clash proof are uf+K and ub+K(+G). Are there any others?

    Myke: Thank you so much for testing those combos for my PS3-less bum ass. I never knew about the techroll thing though, still awesome. When Itazan showed it to me, my eyes freaking popped out of their sockets, SO MUCH DAMAGE!

    Yupa: Until yesterday I have always used /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/ub.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif to defeat throws, however now that I have /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/uf.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif(which is less disadvantage on block and more dmg potential) It think it's the move to use.

    Being a jumping attack is not sufficient requirement to "never throw clash". It must depend on the frames when character is considered jumping/backturned etc. For instance iirc Sarahs u+K+G does clash in certain situation even if it is jumping attack.

    And Dan, you arent scrub, it just tells how deep VF is and how we arent anywhere near the bottom /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

    edit: and we all already got a non-clashable attack to beat throws...low punch. Heh.
