I'm a total noob at arcade board collecting, but how would I go about getting VF4 Evo arcade?

What are my options? I'd prefer getting a supergun type thing for space considerations.

Thanks in advance for all your answers/help

I think www.coinopexpress.com probably has it. It's NAOMI2 hardware, and the US/International version is on a PCB board, while the Japanese version is on a GD-ROM and uses a GD-ROM drive.

I think you can use a Super Gun but I don't know how well the game will display on a regular TV, or if it will even display at all. It's optimized for very high resolution Japanese arcade monitors, and I'm not sure if it'll function on anything below medium resolution.

Since its a vga resolution game, it would seem that you could hook it up to any recent computer monitor. This would avoid needing a supergun for display conversion purposes - you'd just need a power supply, sound, and controls, all of which are pretty straighforward.
All told, even though I might want one as well, i cant see a reason to get the arcade board unless you've got a fat wad of cash burning a hole in your pocket. Coinop wants around $1500 for vf4 and $3500 for evo . . . the arcade version is not 100 times better than the ps2.

Well, at some point buying the boards will eventually become cheaper than the amount you'd spend on it at the arcade. Of course, then it loses the thrill of having random people come to fight you, so...
