Your post was moved because this question has been asked literally over 30 times. I actually wanted to delete the post, but I wanted to be sure you spotted this first. I'll let one of the mods in this board kill it if they want to. Which they probably will.

See the search button up top between main index and my home? Use it before you ask any questions.

Also click on HOME, you can see a complete movelist and a lot of gameplay related information on every character. Including akira. Including his knee. Including knee combos.

I still claim the right to being the first person to EVER post the "how do you do Akira's knee question."

Mind you, this was for VF1. And the execution of the move has changed since then.

The answer is quite simple - you must press [K] + [G] at the same time, but release [G] (while still holding down [K]) immediately - within 1 frame (1/60th of a second) of the original button press.

Easiest way to do this is to practice hitting [K] + [G], but just scraping the edge of [G] with your finger. Also try practicing this in slow-mo mode.

a great follow up on these all but the heavyweights, jacky, akira, la and shun is.
    [K]+[G], [3][3][6][P]+[K], [2][K]+[G],[6][K],[4][6][P], ground punch.
    a whopping 83 damage!
this can also be done with a [3][3][P] for 88 damage, or like this:
[4][2][P]+[G],[3][3][P], [3][3][6][P]+[K], [2][K]+[G],[6][K],[4][6][P], ground punch, for 98 damage, half the opponents life bar!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
no-one can compete with that damage!
