Can anyone share your experiences of baiting your opponents ?

I only know when the opponent is lying on the ground, I will appraoch the opponent and dashback to make his rising attack whiff and then do dplam.
It seems I suck at baiting (set traps) the opponent.

    Classics with Akira:
-back CD slowly then single palm to SDE/4,6 P+K/3,3P
-P,K~G (kick cancel) then throw or launcher

I find /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif pretty useful, then follow up with something like /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif.

Baiting with him usually leads to me getting dodged... [I hate dodge abuse people with a MUST THROW passion]

Normally, most 'smart' players will try to dodge Akira with most of his attacks save his 3 half-circle strikes.

[big 3 are the side hammer, side double fist, and the ffP+K side check]

So you can train your foe to not sidestep using those three for most of a match [hoping they dodge wrong] or bait their SS with something stupidly fast

P, K~G cancel is my ultimate bait usage.
DE works too, some people on block really think they can hurt Akira but if you Fuzzy properly [don't crouch people who can low throw very effectively] he's pretty much unbeatable after DE.

Baiting is always done according to what your opponent does. So it depends on the opponent. Use moves that are safe to 'poke' and see what opponent does. Next time after that same move, counter whatever it is that he did.

Never think that there is a "formula" for baiting since it all depends on what the opponent does. Baiting is not always effective or even possible against a random or intelligent opponent. "Hey! you were supposed to attack after that, not throw!"

You can also bait your opponent to block, it doesnt have to be an attack. An example:
    Akiras /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif -> dash+throw to variate with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif

Sometimes, I think his /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif seems a little too slow to use as an attack effectively.

What's REALLY nice about this move is that the dash to throw principle will RAPE anyone who think's

[ah, it's Akira, I'll just side step him when he boomerangs in with his linear shyte]

That's a 60-70 point bait that's easily worth risking retaliation for.

I agree with Manji, i usually watch my opponent and set traps according to what they do. For those players who refuse to block I have a little something special for them.
