How to use the SF4 TE Stick with VF5?

Hi guys, I just got my SF4 TE stick the other day. VF5 is basically unplayable with the standard 360 controller, but I've never seen a VF5 arcade machine, so I don't know how to map the buttons for this game. Also, is the SF4 TE Stick even a good stick to play this game with? Thanks and I apologize if this has been answered before.

 

A: Guard
X: Punch
Y: Kick

Thumb on A, index on X and middle on Y and you're set. No other buttons are required as you don't need the macros.

Also, yes, it is a good stick to play VF with. It's a good stick to play most fighting games on.

 

The way it would be set up in an arcade is

P K X
G X X

The X's represent the buttons not in use or in an arcade not even being there.

Me personaly use mine like
X X X
G P K

or currently like

G P K
X X X

Since my bottom buttons don't really work anymore. And yea, thumb G, index P, middle finger K. Like Ash said.

I use index G, middle P , ring finger K tho for mine.

 

During parts of my college years, when I would have some South Korean friends over at my apartment to play some VF4 and VF4 Evo, I would config my arcade sticks to accomodate both the "Japanese layout" as well as the "South Korean/Some American" layout:

G P K

Worked pretty well and VF was one of those games where we didn't see many people accidentally hit the wrong buttons much, if at all.
