1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

I just started up the game and when loading it said "load failed, game data may be damaged." There's no character data anymore. manually loading game data doesn't work either. My rank gone, all my items gone, gotta start over on quest.

The only thing I did that may have caused it (but I doubt it) is that while loading I looked through my friends list.

Does anyone have some sort of solution?

Nah I have my profile, it's the game data that's supposedly corrupted.

Progress? You were writing a book... oh wait, "playing a fun game."

SO MUCH WORK. (thread worthy too!)

It's because you turned off your 360 during auto-save.

Only turn it off when you're at the main menu =/

edit: For the record, I lost my data in DoA4 three times, and believe me, it takes much longer to unlock all the online stuff than it does to unlock everything in VF5.

    Nah I didn't do that.
    DAMN YOU ARE COOL!

Yea, I was playing a fun game in wich I got pretty far in quest mode and unlocked a whole lot of items. I can start over sure, I'm not even freaking out. But before I do that I figured maybe someone here knows how to retrieve the data.

I don't know you but from what I've seen you stay acting like a bitter sarcastic ass. I dpn't really care, just don't reply to my posts.

    There is an ignore function...

My main beef is: thread for this?

    <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">"OMG, I turned off my system during auto-save! I'm gonna make a thread!" </div></div>

C'mon. It has nothing to do with the game, only your own clumsiness (I've done this before with Tekken 5, TWICE).

We aren't discussing anything that is inclusive and informative at all. All this discussion revolves around is:

    <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">"OMG, I turned off my system during auto-save! I'm gonna make a thread!" </div></div>

How does that teach anything to anyone? Does it raise a valid question? Does it do anything other than expressing the idea of:

    <div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">"OMG, I turned off my system during auto-save! I'm gonna make a thread!" </div></div>

Instead of "discussions" like this one, I think it is more beneficial, for everyone, if we discuss the merits of, for example, Jeffry's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif or "Crushing MIDS with Akira's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif!!!"

    Surely you must see this?

Yes a thread for this. I don't think It's a crime, or pointless, to ask wether someone knows how to retrieve a savegame from corrupted gamedata.

And I did not turn of my xbox during autosave. The last time I played VF was last night, I had it on the main menu for a bit before I finally shut it down. I have never once turned off my xbox during saving/loading in anygame, including vf.

How could you take the time to form this ridiculously pointless rant and yet chastise him for merely asking for help?

Seems like you need a nice, tall glass of STFU.

    Okay, try this:

Start a word document and begin a short story; make sure you put a lot of time in it.

Develop your characters and get a thriving plot going, once you get a good 5 pages or so: stop.

Now exit Microsoft Word and pick "quit without saving." Turn off your computer.

    -Solving this problem-

Getting the file back will be hard, but it require a few things: this is a start. This is the only option.

Same rules apply to memory cards.

<span style='font-size: 8pt'>this, like all my posts are not meant to be seen as personal attacks, but calculated attempts to unnerve or humor (I failed obviously)[/size]</span>

    That took time?

There is no solution to this problem other than starting over.

STFU? I'm partial to FUCA, it's got ginseng and a whole lot of vitamin C.

I did not quit without saving retard. If I did then whatever was there before the last time I played would still be there. The data was corrupted. And as your highness probably knows corupted data can be retrieved from a storage unit pretty easily on a pc. So I asked if someone knew how to do it with a 360 MU. 'Whooo bad fulaani'

I swear you are the epitime of what is wrong with message boards. Go fall asleep on some traintracks or something. fag.

Try what I suggested, it can be highly enlightening and it can also taste good once you get used to it.
