Rules
• Attendees must show up in person between 7-8pm on 23 February 2007.
• No leaving outside after you come in
• There will be scheduled smoke breaks every 2 hrs for 10 minutes
• Attendees are subject to search, no alcohol or drugs on premises
• If you appear to be sleeping, you are out
• You must be playing something at all times
• You must sign a release when you attend the Ironman Gaming Competition. Attendee’s who plan to stay past 12 hrs must also provide contact info with someone’s name who will pick them up.
• YOU CAN NOT DRIVE YOURSELF HOME AFTER ATTENDING THE IRONMAN GAMING COMPETITION FOR MORE THAN 12 HRS
• If 32 entrants do not sign up online by 11:59pm on Feb 16th, 2007 (one week before the event) the event will be canceled

Q. What is the ‘Ironman Gaming Competition’ ?

A. The Ironman Gaming Competition is gaming event where you come in play games all day and night. If you fall asleep or nod off you are out of the running for the grand prize. Final gamer left receives the grand prize.

Q. What If a winner has not been determined by 7pm on Sunday February 25th, 2007? I have work the next day.

A. Too bad LAST GAMER STANDING!!!

The Ironman Gaming Competition is designed for any gamer, no matter what skill level, each have an equal chance of winning the PS3. Players are encouraged to register online. Free tournaments will be ran all night long. Widow Maker Gaming Center is a new events center in Maryland. Players feel free to come in anytime and check out the place before hand.

After all the much-publicised deaths involving video games and consoles, you would think game promoters would be smarter, but NOOOO ...

This might backfire on the PS3 if casualties result ...

 

This is a little too hardcore for my blood.

 

Hell, I would attend. As far as I am no hardcore player, I can stay up till late hours. My best time is 2 days and 3 nights without stopping (It was when I got PS2 with only one game, FFX).
Of course, I had to go take a piss sometimes, and grab something to eat, but that's all /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

The next day (after the 3rd night) I fell asleep at about 8 a.m. and woke up at 11....p.m., took a shower, and another several hours of sleep. I felt tired the whole week after

 

Dang! I wish I could go to this!

Even if I didn't win, I'd love to see how far I could go with this. Heck, I actually think I could win.

Oh well.
