    Hmmm...

So... T6 is coming to the PSP, but T6BR is coming to consoles?

Not a bad deal entirely. But no Lars and balance tweaks?

    :EDIT: Just saw the pics.

Nice move. Use the existing DR graphics system, add the T6 characters, and you have T6 PSP. The development time will be low because they don't have to redo everything from scratch.

If you want to play as Lars, cybergirl, or against others online, you have BR for consoles.

Exposure and extended ROI all in one go. Nice move.

    ::EDIT::

    Soul Calibur too:link

Milking that DR engine to its fullest alright.

I was told my by Markman its T6 BR on psp as well. But for the console versions namco are just calling it Tekken 6. Which makes sense really..

I think you have it on reverse my friend. The pics show T6 on PSP, while BR on console.

Didn't they also announce some SC game as well?

If Markman gives info on Tekken, it's as good as gold. Besides, you can't tell BR from Vanilla using screenshots.

I think what SP meant is that there is no point calling the game Tekken 6 BR on any console consiedering there is no Tekken 6 on anything other than the arcades.

Yeah, it's BR on console, but they're just calling it 6. Mildly excited for this game, not a big fan of the extra bounce moves or the Rage system... like Tekken needed longer combos. I'm probably gonna drop Asuka and pick up a new character (maybe Zafina or Lars. Or Alisa... she's a really cool design. Chainsaw hands. x333).

... And you can tell BR from vanilla in screenshots if Alisa is in one of them.

Anybody else notice that the plot of T6 is almost exactly like the plot of T2? Julia's the new Jun...

No disagreement there, but I checked Markman's blog today, and there was no mention of BR or vanilla 6 yet.

My guess is: BR if it comes out sometime after console, vanilla 6 if it comes out earlier.

I could be totally wrong though.

Anna and Nina are back to working for opposing sides of the Mishima feud.
Julia believes she has to stop Kazuya and Jin fighting.
Jin's the new ruler of the Zaibatsu and Kazuya's trying to steal it back from him using G-Corp.

Sounds like T2 to me. Kazuya's the new Heihachi, Jin's the new Kazuya, and Julia's the new Jun.

I actually didn't know Julia was involved in the Mishima feud. I thought Lars was the planned "third wheel".

You wouldn't want to be with Heihachi when he asks if you want a fireball... from his gut. After all, he's the new Jinpachi.

And I'm sure Julia and Jin will make up and bonk on and have a son in time for the King of Iron Fist 7, who will be ready in like 20 years from there. And Anna and Nina will be frozen when it ends. Again. It's just one massive family feud.

Julia's actually very deeply involved in the Mishima feud. Heihachi once killed her grandfather, and once kidnapped her mother. Kazuya stole her reforestation data, and the reforestation project was being funded by Lee (G-Corp).

Zafina appears to have the exact same idea as Julia, though; stop Kazuya and Jin from fighting, because it'll awaken some evil spirit or whatever... Tekken trying to be deep again...

... If Nina and Anna go back into cryosleep, I really hope that neither of them has a kid this time. That was so stupid. Steve's not a bad character aside from that, though.

Hafta agree with Steve's odd storyline. It did feel like: "hey, let's have a boxer for Tekken".

    "Oh wait, he's really popular!"

"Ok, let's get him involved with the Mishima story then..."

Methinks Lars gets involved something major though. I wouldn't be surprised if he helps either Heihachi or Kazuya take over from Jin. Essentially becoming the new Lee.

So, who getting T6 on the PS3?

Well, I am, since I don't have an Xbox and I'd like to play against people online.

Ok, Markman's pretty much confirmed they're all BR. (PSP, PS3, Xbox).

:EDIT: They built the PSP version from scratch?

    Man. Namco's confident.
