Is there any way of escaping the punches from:

As someone who consistently plays against Vanessa i'd be interested in learning some of the tricks of the trade.
Basically, there's one move that always gets me, her tackle attack ( from ofensive, defensive move P+K i think is the command) where she tackles the opponent to the floor and can folow up with a variety of punches and holds. Well i can escape the holds with a simple tap of P+G, but whenever Venessa follows up with a body blow or a normal punch i see no way of preventing it other than to just sit back and take a beating. I'm not entirely sure if this is the right forum to ask about how to play against vanessa as opposed to playing as Vanessa, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

Hey, and for the record: As far as you can't escape the tackle itself when Vanessa goes for it from different combinations, you can still escape it when she does it after defensive move.
Check the movelist to be sure, but as far as I remeber you have to press either /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif

Thanks for that little note, I was always mashing away and getting my head smacked in.

    Griever:
Yep, the DM version of the takedown is escapable as if it were any other side-throw. So throw escape to your back or front depending on the side its coming from.

Actually, it's better to do a low punch or another crouching attack to avoid it, since if you just duck it will take you some time to reach crouching state.

I dunno, I like to get counter hits on 'when rising from a crouch' attacks for floats and suchlike. I guess it depends on who you're playing, and how they play.

If your opponent do it from far away and you see it coming don't forget that you can throw her out of it, as a normal throw prevails over catch throws.

Also it is now a complete 1/3 choice, multi escapes are *not* possible (from blackbook).
