Jean & Taka story

I was looking for this info on the forums but did not find any listed. Skimmed through a few pages at Hk-VF and found this. Is it offical and can someone translate it?

I saw "J6" in Jean's storyline, so he probably works for J6 like Goh. I'm not sure if I'm right or not. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif

 

Jean has some sort of involvement with J6 and Taka for all we know went into hibernation for the past installments. I'm curious as to how they will explain his absence up to this point.

 

I didn't really read Jean's story, just skimmed it for now because I'm about to go to sleep, but from what I looked at: He's a childhood friend of Lion's who trained together when they were kids, but got taken in by J6 one day and vanished completely. Except not really, J6 just gave him their brand of Extreme Makeover and trained him in assassination. Since Goh managed to cock up his duties, Jean is stepping in to take up some of the slack. But as he observes some of the preliminaries for the 5th tournament, he sees someone his age using mantis style... that looks familiar... and thoughts start to stir about who this person is...

Thanks. Most interesting; I wonder if white/grey hair is a mark of J6's long term indoctrination/conditioning. Perhaps Goh dyes his... Though I doubt Sega would put that much effort into the storyline.

"And so, Taka on his way to the fourth Virtua Fighter tournament, going through airport security, got stuck though the metal detector thingies. Angry and embarassed at this unfortunate turn of events, Taka Arashi decided to forgo the fourth tournament in order to diet. 'I will become sexy!', Taka shouted in his mind but then heard laughter as he realized he that he had said it out loud. 'Geeze, I gotta stop doing that', he muttered to himself. Years later Taka returns to the VF scene looking more badass than ever...and, a little slimmer"

 

Taka took time off to learn Honda's HHS.

 

Thanks for the translation, and...he's tied together with Lion?...and Goh by association?...I was hoping he had a past rivalry with Akira or something, so we could get a Ken and Ryu thing going...Oh well. lol

 

It seems taka lost some tournament. Went into training in some mountain village then came back and won 9 sumo tournaments then joined the 5th VF tournament. . . . .or something like that.

Maybe a play on what happened in the finals at SBO, haha.

 

Jean is supposed to be an assassin? It's kind of odd that SEGA would do that, seeing as Karate isn't exactly one of the better styles for assassination techniques.

What's crazy is, I don't actually doubt this scenario hahaha.

I doubt the guys that are doing the game care or even know what the supposed storyline is, haha.

 

If the work experience kid can do it, anyone can.

Jean will have been sent as a backup because J6 doesn't completely have faith in Goh anymore.

Taka will once again get in a bar fight with some guy, and decide that he'll show up at the tournament again.

That's all they need. They'll flesh it out a bit with some lines about how great they are at their respective art, who their main rival is, what they do in their spare time, secret desires, etc, and voila, instant VF character story.

 

Has anyone joined the tournament just because they like punching and kicking people?

Or do they all have some sub quest?
