Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. It is possible that he might be featured again if we get a lot of requests from the players. The same applies to the revival of his sumo ring stage from Virtua Fighter 3.</div></div>

Services like Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Store and Wii Virtual Console are taking this opportunity further - so how about some perfect remakes of VF1, VF2 or especially VF3? Or perhaps other Model 1/2/3 titles too?

Osaki: The major point here is that there needs to be loads of demand from the players. If there is a place of business in it, there would be no reason to hesitate to develop remakes, but I believe this matter should be determined after more elaborate research.</div></div>

Since when did Sega listen to "a lot of requests from the players"? When they incorporated that red, hot, awezom33, 2 player trainingmode?

Spoil us in VF5's next incarnation by giving us 2 new chars and Taka back. VF will never feel totally complete until Taka, the bastard son of the series, is back.

Murayama: Naturally, we considered it. This is also the case with the rankings, but you cannot avoid a delay in development schedule if you implement network-related specifications. Instead, we abundantly included as many items as we could offer to the fullest in PS3 VF5 this time. You should enjoy them because there is a large amount available.</div></div>

Murayama: Unfortunately, that's a secret! We guarantee they are fabulously high-level players. Since we chose and included every player's match that can be described as "this is their best bout!", they should surely serve as your play references.</div></div>

Myke it does sound like they cherry picked matches from players, you might be right on that front.

Murayama: We have no plan to update or expand PS3 VF5 at this time. </div></div>
<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Kikizo: Tutorial Challenge training, as seen in VF4 on the PS2, is also not included - did you not have enough time to include it?

Murayama: Actually, the reason we could not offer as detailed content as VF4 Evo is because the VF5 arcade version is actively in operation, and the study of combos etc is still ongoing. The game does provide great training functions, so, I definitely recommend you learn VF5 with this, looking for combos and strategies to play the game better, that you may not have seen before. </div></div>
I mean at the time they recorded the replays that were on the disc for VF5, they should have pulled aside like two or three high level players for each character and asked for as many combos and series as they could get and then put those into the game. Sega is so lazy.

<div class="ubbcode-block"><div class="ubbcode-header">Quote:</div><div class="ubbcode-body">Kikizo: Do you plan to release a VF5 Official Soundtrack? Especially as there appears to be no Sound Test mode in VF5 PS3.

Osaki: It has not been determined yet. We hope to release one if we receive many requests from the players. </div></div>
VF5 lacks a sound test mode even.....talk about cutting corners, no wonder this game feels rushed.

I think what they mean about the tutorials is that players are still discovering the tactics so they didn't want to nullify that process (since they make money from people who are still learning).

Also, if they had plans, they would in no way announce them through an interview like this. Why release info like that on one website when they could get a hit on every website worldwide. It's one of the reasons why you never get any really good info through a Q&A.

I am glad you guys like this interview, it's really the best we could do and the most we could get out of AM2 (there were a few Qs we dropped ourselves because the original list of Qs was too massive... including one about Shun censorship!). Basically I only wanted to do a second one because of the panning you guys gave this last one (http://virtuafighter.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/143224/page/0/fpart/1) but the reality of that video one was just 12 minutes with those three guys, minus translation time and set-up time, in a very hectic E3 setting, plus I knew in advance the stuff they were not going to talk about eg. amusingly any ps3 mode specifics(!), so you can hopefully appreciate we really did as much as we could with that.

One question that I feel you guys forgot to ask was about voice acting!!!

Shun censorship is understandable as different regions have different quirks and such.

Can you say which questions you actually dropped? I'm sure others would be interested to know.

They do not need to censor Shun. I doubt anyone would notice it. Everyone knows he is drinking anyway. If it is ok to kick someone in the face why is drinking from a flask not ok?
