Kunoichi

I've heard of a new game called Kunoichi, it's the sequel to Shinobi. Ogi shaowed me a video of it, I kinda get the jist of it (sexy lady avenges [insert name here] with tons of action), but if there's anything else you know about it post it here. I heard it's got better gameplay than Shinobi.

Yes, it's the sequel to Shinobi... and looks wicked. Mine's been on pre-order for a while now.

i liked shinobi but it after a while i got quite bored of it, miss the old 2d stylings.

 

i agree the 2d version are ultra cool (in my opinion better that some 3d game). i glad there is such things as emulation.

Here my fav shiobi games in order of prefernece:-

Shadow Dancer (Mega Drive version)
Shinobi 3
Shinobi (Ps2 version)
Revenge of Shinobi
Shinobi (Original)

There were other shinobi games that i did not get chance to play:-

Shinobi X
Mega Shinobi (Game Gear version - Im not sure of the actual name on this one)
Alex Kidd in Shinobi World (Is this even a Shinobi Game)

 

maybe the problem with sega games now is that there not just pick up and play games as sega made them to be during the MS and MD days.Though I dont have a problem with that, id much prefer VF series now then when it first started off. But alot of the classics seemed to have suffered in recent times. Probably more down to the 3d stylings therefore diffrent game mechanics.
Why dont sega do what capcom did with viewtful joe. create a 2d game with 3d stylings. I much prefered sonic, and shinobi as 2d games and this way it would kinda appeal to both dimensions?. Though sega do make great 3d games ala billy hatcher, but leave the gems as they were.
