1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

How can Sony take it this far? Whats next, is sony also going to close down play-asia as well? This is very alarming and will hurt sony.

    Frikkin' serious?!

Ok, serious... Just read the announcement on their site.

Hhmmm, eurogamer.net has some interesting intell on this as well.

At first I thought Sony was bullying companies around, but I'm starting to doubt it. Lik-Sang not even showing up in court is the most damning bit here.

Sony has pummelled others to death with court cases before. Most notable of which is Bleem, which simply ran out of funding even if they were never declared to be acting illegally perse.

Why does VF5 have to be PS3 exclusive?

Honestly, how can sony kill a company that imports thier products to people who want them? Is this logical thinking? I mean I really feel bad EU region because they always get screwed over on released dates and over pricing.

Well, I'm not saying it's a good thing it closed down, but as many people know, Lik-Sang had always supported itself with a lot of products of questionable merit (to say the least; we're talking about Hong Kong here, the most free market in the world, hehe). So even though it wasn't closed specifically for that, I'm not surprised it got itself in trouble. :/

I missed out on Bleem, though /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif ...

Whats worse is Lik-sang got a lot of orders for a Jap PSP from Sony Europe executives

    Boycott Sony time

All this "boycott Sony" stuff is making me laugh, honestly. Sure, do it, let's see how you can play VF5 without PS3. Other good games coming out for PS3? Not for me, boycott Sony!

So Liksang went out of business because of Sony lawsuits. It happens. DEAL WITH IT.

    An it's gettin even worse.

    Sony doesn't allow play-asia & yes.asia.com to sell/ship JP PS3s & JP games in EU...

We (those who live in EU) are fucked!!!

Well I don't own a PS2 but I still managed to get a couple hundred hours worth of VF4 ver.c and Evo, but I'm just being pedantic.

C'mon GLC, Lik-sang was a good site with good people working there - plus I doubt their profit margins were all that high, I just can't understand why Sony would even bother. Especially considering Sony Europe Execs *used* the site.

There's something else you should take into consideration. Living in the UK and US we're actually quite lucky in the sense we have big gaming markets, a lot of countries don't. For some, sites like Lik-sang were the only way of getting a PSP!

And what if the PAL version doesn't have Japanese language??
Who said that the PS3 games will have multiple languages (because Blu-Ray has 25/50GB space)??? IT IS A BIG PROBLEMO!!!!

I'm getting tired of this "discussion". The conclusion is: some Hong Kong stores closed and you can't do anything about it. Find another store. No stores available? You can't get japanese hardware? Too bad. I don't give a shit. Go slit your wrists. I'm all good regarding my PS3/VF5 plans.
