Lion Conqueror

salut virtuafighter. i'm playing the german version of Virtua Fighter 5 and i wanted to ask: what's the name of the Lion conqueror in the english version?

And I believe the jacky conqueror is named Tricky J or something like that.

it seems that every conqueror has other names in the pal version. lau - ghandy, akira - danjah, brad - daisy, goh - mahuba, etc. and thx for the information

 

I'm in the netherlands. I'm pretty sure ghandy is a lau as well, but akira for example is Homestay. Did the germans do wierd stuff with the localisation again?

 

it seems that the costumes and stuff are the same but the names and pr messages are customized for some countries, cuz in the german version there are pr's that cannot be translated from english

 

That's terrible news, I work in localisation and I trust me when I tell you it ruins games 95% of the time. People should just fucking learning English.

Also, I don't think they bothered with changing any of the AI names in Quest Mode. Some are just in other languages. You get some Spanish, French and Italian names even when playing in English. Maybe they changed the PRs. I see many top players don't have any, though.

oh yeah, i also think its useless to translate the whole game. Evo was perfect. just the quest order instructions and the navigation was german but the items for example were in english

 

froschi, try to set your xbox laguange to english. that could be a solution. if its set to japanese for example the entire game will be in japanese.
