1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

Is there a guide somewhere as to how to go about logging into VFNet? If it`s possible to do this via PC then that`s preferable to me than using a ketai. I`m tired of my Goh being referred to as `NO NAME` on selection ^^

    Thanks in advance.

you can use a PC/Mac to access VF.net, but you'll need to use a credit card to buy "Web Money", then you'll have to buy Sega's internet currency, called "Dreams" at the Dreamcast Direct website. Then you can use your dreams to pay the 300 yen/month fee for using VF.net.

I was actually going to write a big thing about this, since I just went through the process of getting a Ketai and getting on VF.net on my last trip to Japan, and in retrospect, I think using VF.net for PC would probably have been easier, but I love my Ketai /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif. If I'd opted for VF.net PC, I could be earning items right now with battle arena.

The easiest thing to do is probably just use the Ketai of one of your pals/coworkers, and give them 300 yen/month. I used to do it that way, and my homies seemed to think it was kind of cute, and didn't mind at all.

I'll write more later when I have more time... but yeah, "NO NAME" and no item status sucks.

Last I checked (months ago) Battle Arena was not available on VF.NET for PC. It never was for Ver. C. I could be wrong though.

The link to get a dricas account is very conveniently about 8 feet down on that page you posted.

    Go here
    http://www.sega-am2.co.jp/vfnet-pc/shinkinyukai.html

This is where it gets tricky. Apparently, you can only get a Dricas (isao.net) account via DreamPassport. There are Mac and PC versions. It's a Japaense app, so you might need your default language set to Japanese. The later version of windows the better. XP is apparantly better than 2k, which is a SHITLOAD better than ME or 98. I have no clue about Mac, b/c they suck just a little bit more than Windows.

Actually, after reading a bit more, maybe you don't. Try this.
Go here (another link off that page, just to get Isao.net contents...not use the browser)
    https://www.dricas.com/signup_am2/input_vf.htm

Fill in the info, and make sure your email matches. They should send you a xxxx@isao.net (or something like that) email address. This is your login. They'll send you your retarded password which I don't think you can change. take a note of this, and don't lose it.

Go back to the VF.NET for PC page and by your access rights from the link you posted (30 day or 90 day). It'll ask you for your login name and password.

THEN, your form of payment on the next page. CC is definitely the easiest.

    Hope that helps

Honestly - mobile phone is easier, although more expensive.
