   I see it in my xbox360 game underneath the character portrait of the opposing player. It is a red icon followed by "x 0" in white- presumably a counter that will go up to x1, x2, etc.
   
   Any idea what this means, or where it's from?

   This is unique to the character Shun Di and indicates how many "Drink Points" he has.
   
   Shun Di has moves that allow him to drink, and as his drink points increase he gains access to more moves and damage.
