MAGFest 2.0 2003

    The first MAGFest was last year - it was one of the few video game conventions held in the US. Events included a DDR machine in freeplay, video game tournaments, and a concert of bands that play music from video games live. It was great!

    This year looks to be even better! Guests this year so far include the Minibosses (incase you have been living under a rock for the past four years, they are rocking band that plays songs from video games live) and Virt, a guy who has made some hot remixe/arrangements of video game tunes and has also written music for a few published Game Boy games! He gave a talk last year about video game music / breaking into the game industry etc which was really interesting...

    They are also going to have a variety of video game tournaments including VF4: Evolution, CVS2, GGX2, SSBM and various bemani titles...

    So you should all make it! Chances are I'll more than likely be there...Last year was a blast!

    ok, just a few days till magfest... whos going?

    i'll be there. if anyone in the DC area needs a ride, i may be able to accomodate. not sure, but possibly.

    Unfortunatley I can't make it... though I'd still HIGHLY recommend everyone who can make it do so... The concert itself will be worth the price of admission and then some, let alone the tournaments, panel discussions, ect...

    ok, magfest kicked all the ass.

    i had a blast, and i think everyone there did. the concert rocked bigtime, the gaming was non-stop, the crowd was hardcore.

    i wish there was some more VF4 competition, wish you guys had made it down.. there were a few pretty good players, but... well.. the VF4 tourney was like 12 people, the soul calibur 2 one was about 80 people. :p
