Mic issues on XBOX Live...?

hi, this is probably a dumb question, but me and my friend can't seem to communicate to each other via Voice Chat with the mics online on the 360 when we're in a private player match...

...is there a "push to talk" button" that i didn't know about? any input is appreciated.

 

Hmm, I haven't heard of any game specifically having problems with the voice chat. In fact, I chatted with a friend of mine while fighting him just the other night.

The only thing I can think of is to take out the mic and plug it in, sometimes mine wont work and it usually fixes it by doing this.

 

i tried that several times, separate nights too.

i have 2 mics, and neither of them seem to have worked.

my friend bought VF5 for the 360, AND the 360, so he has a new mic with it.

...d'oh.

 

just open a private chat seperate from the game
