I can't read Japanese but please tell me this is not a joke. That would be the second greatest news possible (remake of FFVII being the greatest).

This would be great news, assuming it is ported to the PS3 and the BOX because I felt like VF5 as a singular game was incomplete. There should have been some game play tweaks between version A to Version B as news got out that AOI, Sarah, and possibly Jeffery were considerably weaker compared to the competition. Especially AOI. The second part that should have been more in depth is the Training system, which forces people to come to these boards to get info on the game's engine and combos. The save system, which require you to make a character for the playstation of each of your friends, The quest system, which gave you Jack for achieving the highest rank (I like the Gold uniform given to the Champion rank of the previous game). And the Single player campaign in general, which is far worse, when you think about what Soul Calibur 3 gave us. (though this is something VF has never done for it's games).

Assuming it does come out is July, and the XBOX version of VF4 Ver. B comes out around the same time, You pretty much have to give a good 6 month to allow VF4 to sell well for the BOX before we could even think about getting EVO. I wonder who the two new characters are and their fighting style.

Whoa, what what what? So soon? I guess not for the Japanese, but still, very striking, man.

I agree full-heartedly about the Aoi and Jeff tweaks needed and how incomplete VF5, well... is.

I'm getting kinda' giddy. I really hope someone puts something in Engrish though. I can hardly read it at all.

Wait, is jeff that much weaker in VF 5 than previous versions? Though I do consider Aoi being really weak in this version.

Jeffery is Decent, but AOI is really bad. First thing first, she needs to drop down to at least 11 Frames for her jab. Second, she needs some damage to her moves, or a better juggle.

jeffery needs just a few stuff. First, that /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif throw is useless. At this point, why make a move that is this useless. It's not like it is a replacement throw which Jeffery already has. Second, a few of his throws could use a few more damage and/or give him even better strikes if he won't be a good thrower, and by better, I don't necessarily mean more damage, it could just mean, less strikes that when block kills him, or simply, less strikes that take too long to come out. Sarah, she just have way to much 25 point damage throws. If she is going to be this useless in throws, then she better be beast in strikes, which he isn't exactly.

Even if this does to go the 360 there's no way it won't go to the PS3 around the same time or shortly after anyways.

I'd like them to take more advantage of the net functionality. If Sega subsidise Pro players in Japan surely a TV infrastructure like there is for project gotham where they stream movies of the best players would be awesome. Imagine streaming a tournament in this way.

Remember when VF4 went to PS2 and then they released Evo which was such a rousing success domestically that they just couldn't wait to not release FT?

What are the sales figures for the PS3 version, anyone know?

I can't see why you think Jeff needs more damage on his throws, he now has a total of 5 directions as well as neutral, and /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif is better on this version because you can choose from three directions to throw them in, and he has the half circular direction for the guaranteed damage. He has the most directions on the game and his strikes (although slow and counterable) are also high damage.

I play Jeff and obviously I would like to see more improvements on him, but I can't see why anyone would say he isn't at least on par with most of the other characters...

I have a hard time believing the game would go from mere rumor to finished product in three months. Maybe location test starts in July?

Anyway, even though I like the prospects of having the things I dislike about VF5 "fixed", I'm not that eager that I want our VF5 to again lag behind Japan's VF5 after only half a year.
