This is a mod I worked on the past 2 days. A lot of the tutorials online make it seems very easy but there were a lot of pitfalls I encountered.

Chun-Li artwork credit to Christine Choi. This is the best non-slutty image of Chun-Li I've seen so far.

    Parts used:
    Sanwa GT-Y
    Seimitsu PS-14-KN Pushbutton
    Seimitsu LB-39 Ball Top

I will have a tutorial with a ton of pics up soon on streetfighterpro.com.

Nice design, choice of color, and execution. That's one of the most beautiful sticks I've ever seen.

    Awesome job! /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cool.gif

I'm seriously considering modding my EX2.

I have another X360 stick but some of its features are beginning to bother me. Its big and weighs about 12 pounds so its cumbersome to travel with it. Plus there is no LB/RB buttons or headset slot. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

U know when I first time to see ur stick at Talis's place, I was impressed~~ Such a nice Arcade Stick u have!!!
But I can tell it's too heavy to be portable....
    However, it's priceless~~

Hey, that's an excellent piece of art. Actually it may be the most beautiful stick I' ve ever seen.

I really want to find a similar artowrk and then I will switch those awful buttons to sanwa or seimitsu.

So, who is Christine Choi and how can I get something similar? (Heck, even this would do apparently if you wouldnt mind but i guess you would do).
The cost of it isn't an issue, as long as it's good aesthetically I don't mind.

    P.S.

Yeah, I am totally clueless on stick modding matters, at least I just found out what I have to do in order to make other parts fit in this stick.

    The artwork was from:
    http://www.amazon.com/Udons-Art-Capcom-UDON/dp/1897376995

Her name was in the book so I'm giving her credit. I don't know her personally.

If you want to start I would suggest getting a good solder and desoldering gun/sucker. I got the bulb+solder sucker from radio shack and that helped in removing the solder much quicker.

I'll have a detailed tutorial shortly and post back.

Oh I thought that it was a special order to someone or something.
Nonetheless it's a fantastic artwork and im glad that you chose it - it's so stylish.

I saw a guide on SRK ( http://forums.shoryuken.com/showthread.php?t=140160 ) about modding these sticks but this guy doesn't change the connectors, so I think that he used Sanwa buttons with the Hori connectors.

If possible please post a detailed guide whenever you can, I would be really grateful.

I just thought that I'd better mod this stick than buy a new one (I need a better stick before SF4 comes out and I'll use it on VF too apparently).

    P.S.

How are the seimitsu buttons? I never tried them as I've only tried Sanwa and Hori recently and all I know is that Sanwa>>>>>>Hori.

That's a very nice fighting stick mod she made there by adding my favorite Street Fighter character besides Cammy. /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

    Thanks =)

    More artwork will be coming:

    just fyi.

The seimitsu buttons can sure take a beating and are very responsive and for some might be a bit too sensitive. It's great for me.

I actually had to get cutters and pliers to modify the connectors on the buttons. Took a lot of bending and shoving to get it in place.

I'll have a guide soon, been working 70+ hour weeks.

It's interesting that you had to line the bottom plate with tape to prevent the capacitors from scraping it. Did the Seimitsu button pins match up evenly with the holes already? When I modded mine to use Sanwas I had to bend the pins in a bit and then clip the ends to solder back on, though I had no space issues thanks to this.

Honestly, just awesome! Gorgeous stick man...

Does anyone know if they will be releasing an octagonal gated stick for use with SF HD and SF4? Seems like it would make sense to release another joystick that would work better for SF games as opposed to the square gate for VF...

SF is played with square gates in the arcades.

  14. That's a nice tutorial, my friend. Good job.

I'm trying to get around to building my 2nd stick for a friend, but decorating the house is getting in the way. *sigh*

Really?!? I always thought it was an octagon... Wow, well I'm glad my stick will work for both then... I have to say, I find quarter circles to be pretty difficult on the EX2 though.
