    Yep, seems like that.

"Namco Offers To Merge With Sega
TOKYO (Dow Jones)--Namco Ltd. (9752) said Thursday it has proposed a merger with fellow game software maker Sega Corp. (7964). "

    What scares me the most:

Seeing crap like Xenosaga branded with a Sega logo.

    AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Xenosaga was actually a good game, imho. We could see Paul get mauled by Akira /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I'm sure Xenosaga is considered a STELLAR title in dink-o-world, where people who think a VF/Tekken crossover would be a good idea reside.

I think they're planning for the Sammy thing but it's not finalized yet. Another article here:

Thing is FV kinda and FV2 definitly are verry well balanced games with intricate playstyles.
Witouth FV2 VF4 wouldnt have been half as good as it is and despite its of beatnes FV2 remains a game with style AND depth that can be enjoyed on manny levels(just ask Heruru, he still plays the game constantly).
In short its a good game on its own right, something a cross over cash in most likely wont be.

I would give a vf/tekken crossover a shot. I'm sure plenty of people would. I don't know if a slew of core tekken or vf players would clamor for a crossover title, but I'm sure it wouldn't be dismissed out of hand. Hell, FV could get in the mix and we could see a big panda on pink rollerblades get EWGFPoD'ed. Or whatever.

About time... let's finally settle the debate over which characters are stronger (VF vs Tekken). Let the Tekken characters get summarily PWNED as they should be, so that the tekken players can go whining back to T4 and TTT with their tails between their legs. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Akira vs Paul or Mishima, Wolf vs King, Jeffry vs Jack(s), Pai vs Xiaoyu, Sarah vs Nina, Jacky vs Law or Hwoarang, Shun vs Yoshi or Lei.... let the slaughter begin, I say.

    crossover games are lame
look how screwed snk character got in Capcom vs Snk series. They still cant get it right after 2 attempts at it. Damn you CAPCOM! While snk got it right the first time on a pocket powered match of the millenium.

Im sure AM2 will make the effort to make a balanced game, i doubt namco will even try. And most likely itll be namco who wants to make the xover game.

    AMEN!!!!
I don't care to see who would win between any VF vs. any TK character, because guess what it would still depend on who is playin who, right?
I want AM2's efforts in VF to be focused, and to give us the best VF as of yet, don't waste our time with xover games. but thats my opinion.

Capcom never understood how SNK characters work...

I don t like the idea of a crossover because both games' system are too different...

You mean Sega AM2 because Sega as a whole doesn't always get it right. /versus/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
