Good job on the Lakers for beating the Blazers. Having the second seed is a lot easier than having the 4th seed. We play Houston on the first round and we play the winner of the Spurs and Mavs on the second round. That's as far as I see it because the first round is not going to be easy.

Good to see some B-ball and Lakers fan here. The Lakers are looking good so far being up 2 games and all.

I don't see the Grizzlies winning against the Spurs. So, it's gonna be a great rematch of last years playoffs.

Yes, that is very true. My friend and I have a bet. If Memphis can win two games, I get 20 bucks. If not, than I don't owe anything. I can't beat that. So I am rooting for Memphis to win two games. lol.

If the Lakers can win game three, they should be able to beat Houston easily. Game 3 is always so important.

I think the key to the Lakers success this postseason is Gary Payton. I didn't see the Game 1 and 2, but judging by his play in the regular season he still seems lost and disinterested with the triangle offense.

Karl Malone has already found his niche with the offense, Gary just stands around most of the time and doesn't seem to know when to shoot or pass.

Is he playing better in the Houston series?

sorta. The bench is much more productive. But our team is banged up like usual.

Payton is not that good a fit with the Lakers. A lot of the Lakers success comes from hitting jumpers after Shaq is doubled (tripled?) in the post. Payton has never been a great jumpshooter. That is why Pargo and Fisher get good pt.

Payton is also not the great defender that he once was, though his defense may be needed against Tony Parker in the second round.

I hope that Kobe did not rape that girl.

Prago doesn't play for the Lakers anymore. He signed on to another team at the start of the season. Some eastern conference team.

You're right. I had him confused with Kareem Rush, who does possess a good jump shot and has hit some clutch threes this year.

I think that only the Kings and Spurs can challenge L.A.
I hate the Kings becaus of Vlade, Christie, and Bibby.

It's funny how you didn't mention Webber. I guess I'm not the only one who thinks he's overrated. =P

Actually, I didn't mention him because I don't hate him. I liked him when he was in college, but now I am neutral on the guy. I think he is fun to watch, but when he he walks around scowling and trying to act all badass, he is just silly. I feel a little bad for him now because his knee injury has really taken the explosivness out of his game.

Vlade I dislike because when he is overmatched, he flops pitifully to the floor and cries to the refs.

Crhistie, in my opinion gets away with a lot of bullshit on the defensive end, and I think he's obnoxious.

Bibby is a fucking little robot nerd. I know that one could ask me how I can call anyone a nerd when I play as much VF as I do, but Bibby is a special super-lame-o nerd. He has a good, robotic arsenal of basketball skills, I admit, but he is such a goody-two-shoes. That would be fine, but when he taunts or tries to act all badass, he is a buffoon. Especially lame are his tatoos, the big-ass crucifix in particular. He's like, "Check out my tats, dawg. I give props to Jesus."

    NERD ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is gonna be a fun series. Finally, Duncan has to guard someone against the Lakers. I only hope GP plays well against Parker.

GP will eat parker alive, especially when GP is defense. He isn't nicknamed the glove for nothing.

    Spurs and Lakers

I hope that Payton can stick with Parker. Payton is getting old and Parker is one of the quickest guys in the league. Fisher is a good defender also.

I think they will put Malone on Duncan and the Spurs will use different people on Shaq, like Kevin Willis and Nesterovich. Both teams will try to keep their Big Men out of foul trouble.

I imagine that Devean George and Fox will guard Ginobilli a lot. Kobe can guard both Parker or Ginobilli during crunch time, but probably not throughout the game, because they do not want him in foul trouble. Most of the game he will probably guard Big Head Bowen.

I would probably hate the Lakers too were it not for Shaq. I was in high school when he was at LSU. He was such a badass then that he became my favorite player. Now Shaq is basically the last guy left of all the people I grew up rooting for (except Barry Bonds, but he is an arrogant steroid freak).

I think that Dallas got fucked by the officials last night. That play where Christie flattened Nash shouldn't have been a foul on Nash. Also, Peja fouled Novizki on the last play. Bullshit, I say!

    Rejoice!!!!

The Lakers have pulled even with the Spurs! Let us rejoice. Now they must win one, just one, measly game at the Spurs' place. Now is the time for the Faithful to put our trust in The Daddy. Lead us again to the Promise Land, Daddy!

decent game. I wasn't impressed. Missed 8 free throws and Gary Payton went 4-11 including blowing some lay ups. Dang, he never blew this many layups when he was in Seattle. We have to step it up to another level in SA if we are going to win.
