Need Help, Item List Possibly Wrong

Hey, just wondrin' if i got the wrong item list for kage. when i tried getting the Preparation Sword for Kage witch is won according to the item list by winning "iron fight" at event square i ended up winning the Double Ninja Sword. and the same thing happened again and i won the ninja sword witch is supposed to be in the shop.

any help would be appreciated /versus/images/graemlins/confused.gif

and ninja sword is from shop!

 

I know, its just that according to this sites item list you get the prep sword from iron fight, and the ninja sword from the shop. but like you said i got db sword from iron fight and i won the ninja sword in a prize match.

im just wondering if there is a item list for kage that is a little bit more accurate. but other than those two things, the item list here is okay.

 

The item faq for Kage is fine. I have personally verified the entire list.

You said that you got a sword from a prize fight. That's true. There is a sword to be won from a fight. However, does it sit on your back or your waist? The one you win from a fight sits on your waist. The one that becomes available in the shop sits on your back. The "preparation sword" is won in iron fight. On the PS2 it is called the double blade sword. The reason for your confusion is that the Items faq was translated from a guide meant for the Japanese version. However, the actual items are the same and the guide is correct. (at least, for Kage)

I know what you're thinking ; "Why doesn't someone rewrite the guide for the American version?" 2 reasons. 1) There are no english documents for VF4Evo and 2) doing so would require getting every item with every character just to see what its new name is. Rather pointless.

Now, I am a very patient person but I believe I wrote you a PM and said that if you had a problem with any guide to just PM the author about it and you told me that you would remember that. Yet, two minutes later you make this offensive post when a simple PM to Myke would have explained everything for you. Do you just enjoy seeing your name up in lights? People work really hard on guides (myself included) and do not appreciate when someone essentially calls their work garbage. Now, most of the members on this site have simply ignored this thread b/c of its obvious lack of credibility. And I resisted the urge to flame you myself, instead sending you a message about the 'proper channels', but you have proven much too irresponsible to be allowed to continue polluting the board. Either search for the answers or ask the author first. Damn, how hard is that to understand?

okay. i get it now, and i diddent mean for it to be offensive. i dont even know who writes all the FAQs. i know myke writes a great deal of them but i wasnt sure if i would be messaging the wrong guy.

It's okay, HeavansHand. Most of that rampage wasn't even really about you. The reason I called the post offensive was mainly b/c the threads that you've started mysteriously have 3 and 5 star ratings yet hold very little value for the members here. Now, I'm not saying that you're rating your own threads, but it's a good idea to let others decide if a thread is good or not (notice that very few threads are rated anyway) As far as who the faq authors are, their name is listed to the side of the faq link. It's fairly simple, really.

 

yah lol, i actually just randomly rate my own posts for no apparent reason. but if u find it offencive ill willingly stop.

anyways, im gonna try to unlock most of the items for the characters and write down the names of the items, so its less confussing. ill try and post up my findings sometime soon.

 

Scenario: New guy shows up on a message board, posts a few messages about how wrong the site is, rates his threads high which signals to others that they need to read his posts, only to find newbie mistakes and disregard for earlier advice. What would you think? (In actuality, nobody really pays much attention to the thread ratings. It just hit me wrong, that's all.)

okay, i think your being a little unfair here.

i only posted one message about the item FAQ, and i dident even know if i had the right one or not. for all i know it could have been the jap version of the FAQ. all i wanted to know was if i got the right FAQ and if there was just one little mistake.

anyways why do you even care if i rated my posts or not. i wasnt even trying to get ppl to read em'. and if people really ignore the ratings why do you care so much about them?

I thought ratings were assigned by the flow of traffic if im not mistaken
