Wow, what a wonderful and wild nfl playoff action so far. Here is the updates...

Saturday: Jets:41 Colts:0 NY bitchslaps Indy. Tony Dungee is still not able to win a big game.

Atlanta: 27 Green Bay: 7 Micheal Vick's first victory of the playoffs. First lost ever in the playoffs at Lambeau Field. Farve might retire. Green Bay will never be the same.

Sunday: Pittsburg: 36 Cleveland: 33 Pittsburg comes back from 12 points in the fourth quarter to win the game. Good stuff. My friend who is a big pittsburg fan almost had a heartattack. lol

And the game of the weekend! San Francisco: 39 NY Giants: 38 Oh my gosh, I must have dropped every freaking f-bomb and cuss word in the world from the beginning to the 4 minute mark of the third quarter. Till the second biggest comeback in the history of the nfl playoffs comes into play. I lost my voice and we move on in the playoffs.

    Next weeks' games.....

Saturday: Pittsburg at Tennessee @ 4:30pm on cbs
Atlanta at Philadelphia @ 8pm on fox

Sunday: San Francisco at Tampa Bay @ 1pm on fox
NY Jets at Oakland @ 4:30pm on cbs

Go Niners! I am hoping to get tickets to that game.

LOL. I almost shit my pants when they called pass-interference on the last play of the game! It looked like my niners were about to choke at the last minute, but they had luck on their side.

Dre, my heart was beating so badly on that field goal. It seemed like forever before the freaking snap took place. And the pass interference. It didn't matter due to ineligible lineman down the field. Can you believe all the trash talking that went into place? Omg, Micheal Strahan pointing to the score board with Owens scored the touchdown spun the ball in the third quarter. The fight that broke out after the two point conversion failed.

It looked like disaster after all those personal fouls. If the Giants' players just kept their cool, they would've gotten much better field position and (probably) won the game. Coach Mariucci better get Owens in line. /versus/images/icons/mad.gif

Actually Mariucci didn't have to do anything. Even though Owens started the whole thing, it was him who kept his cool when he was being tossed around. He's crazy as a fox! Mariucci needs to do nothing but continue to coach that's all.

This article just in... from cbssportsline.com

NEW YORK -- Giants holder Matt Allen could not have spiked the botched snap on the final play of New York's loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

    It's against the rules.

Mike Pereira, the NFL supervisor of officials, confirmed Monday that Allen would not have been allowed to immediately spike the ball because it was a long snap. The only time a player can spike the ball is when he takes the snap from under the center.

With six seconds left Sunday and the Giants trailing 39-38, Matt Bryant lined up to try a potential game-winning 41-yard field goal. The snap from newly signed Trey Junkin was in the dirt. Allen fumbled the ball, then made a desperation pass downfield to what turned out to be an ineligible receiver, guard Rich Seubert.

Fox commentator Cris Collinsworth said at the time that since it was third down, Allen could have spiked the ball, giving the Giants another chance at a kick. Afterward, on the Fox postgame show, other commentators agreed.

Pereira said the only other option would have been to throw to an eligible receiver.

So how much Chris Collingsworth knows. I hate that bum of a commentator.

Here are some post game notes.... from the SF vs Giants game.

The 24-point comeback today by the 49ers is the second greatest postseason comeback in NFL history. The biggest deficit overcome in postseason was the 32-point comeback by Buffalo over Houston on January 3, 1993.

The 49ers extended their NFL record scoring streak today. They have now scored in 437 consecutive games, including the postseason.

The 76-yard touchdown pass from QB Jeff Garcia to WR Terrell Owens was the second longest pass play in 49ers postseason history. Joe Montana and Freddie Solomon had a 76-yard touchdown hookup at Washington (1-8-84). The longest is a 78-yard touchdown toss from John Brodie to Gene Washington vs. Washington (12-26-70).

LB Julian Peterson recorded his first career postseason interception today.

WR Terrell Owens completed his first career pass today.

Owens recorded his second postseason 100-yard receiving game of his career. He had 100 yards receiving vs. Green Bay (1-11-98). His 177 yards receiving is a new POSTSEASON CAREER-HIGH.

Owens recorded his first career multi-touchdown game in the postseason.

Owens set a POSTSEASON CAREER-HIGH with nine receptions.

This is the highest scoring total by both teams in any 49ers postseason game. The previous high was 75 points in Super Bowl XXIX in 1994 against San Diego. The 49ers won 49-26.

TE Eric Johnson set a new POSTSEASON CAREER-HIGH with eight receptions for a POSTSEASON CAREER-HIGH 78 yards.

RB Kevan Barlow scored his first career postseason touchdown.

QB Jeff Garcia set POSTSEASON CAREER-HIGHS in all categories, completing 27-of 44 passes for 331 yards and three touchdowns. He also set POSTSEASON CAREER-HIGHS in rushing with seven rushes for 60 yards and one touchdown.

Oh my gosh.... this can't be happening...

Celine dion singing in the superbowl. Let me hurl now..

On that note.. here are some football random thoughts... for this weekend...

San Francisco/Tampa... no one (media) is giving San Fran a chance in this game. Well, Tampa's offense isn't exactly the rams on an off day. Any team can beat any team in this league this year. So stop with the Tampa's defense is so strong crap. They didn't go undefeated this year. Any team is vulnerable. San Fran better get thier players healthy. Hopefully the secondary will have Jason Webster back since Mike Rumph the rookie is so inexperienced.

Atlanta/Philly.... showcasing two of the highlight type quarterbacks in the nation. Should be fun to watch. But in the end, one team will pull away and win by a big margin. Stop with this, it will be a close game crap.

Tennessee/Pittsburg..... oh boy, this game could turn out boring. So much for Pittsburg's defense. They got torched by Cleveland. So it should be a shootout with tons of mistakes.

NY/Oakland... overhyped. One team is going to blow out the other. It's always like this when games are overhyped. Whoever runs the ball and doesn't turn the ball over, they win big.

Ok, here's my half-assed predictions based on complete bullshit:

Tennessee/Pittsburgh: Pittsburgh better get their stuff together quick. Eddie George has had plenty of time to prepare for this game, and he's gotten alot of sleep too. Titans /versus/images/icons/smirk.gif

Jets/Raiders: The Jets will continue to suck donkey balls in the playoffs. Good cinderella story though. See you next year. Raiders

Eagles/Falcons: McNabb might be rusty. Vick is god. Falcons

Bucs/Niners: This one's totally up in the air. I think there's a HUGE possibility of this turning into a blowout game for either side.....GO NINERS!!!

    GO SAINTS!

Vick might be god but the Eagles have home field AND speed on defense. Also, remember that this is the same McNabb who won a game earlier in the season with one leg shy of a two piece. In short, if McNabb is 80% or better, they are your Super Bowl champs. Sucks for them that they have to go through the most dangerous wild card team in years. Of course, it would also be nice to see Dan Reeves win one. This will be a good game.

Pittsburgh? How are the Steelers still on the field in January? This isn't 1978 fellas...the Oilers...err Titans stop you this time. Yawn.

Oakland is suspect. I can't tell you why. They are just suspect. I suspect them. They are suspicious. Plus, if I don't pick the Jets, I have the feeling that Herman Edwards will leap through the monitor and eat my soul. Without this factor I would say this is anyone's game. Herm, that's not a chew toy, put it down.

I love watching Gruden lose. It is one of the great joys in life & I get to do it again! Forget about Tampa's defense--they are aging and not the unit of 2 or 3 seasons back. Plus, the 49ers have got to be thinking this is all destiny. Ahhh, maybe they'll tie in regulation and Gruden & Mariucci will go on to make a classic in the annals of gay porn.

    Go niners

I love watching Gruden lose too. Here's what I would like. First off.. for San Francisco to win and beat Tampa any shape or form. Then for Oakland to make it to the afc conference championship game. That way, we will all know that it wasn't "chucky" who was the mastermind in the Oakland Raiders, but it was offensive coordinator Bill Callahan who knew what was going on.

    Re: Go niners

Ok... first of the four divisional games are over with. Tennessee prevails beating Pittsburg 34-31 in overtime. After watching this game, I gotta say it was more exciting than I thought it would be. First off, hats off to the titans. There is a reason why they got the first round bye. It's because they are a pretty good team. Titans jumped out to a 14-0 lead and it looked like it was going to be a blowout. Then Eddie George fumbles and the Steelers are right back in it. This game had so many injuries due to hard hits and such. One guy even tackled someone from tennessee and then fliped over while tackling him and hit his head on the grass. The trick play that Pittsburg did for the two point conversation was very well designed. I gotta give Mike Malarky some credit for that. I didn't think Pittsburg could run an offense like that. Steve McNair really played a fantastic game. Overcoming two interceptions to rally the team back twice. Big key moment in the game for me, was when Plaxico Buress dropped the freaking pass that was right on his hands. That forced the steelers to kick the field goal instead of have a first down to have a chance to score a touchdown. So they went up by 3 instead of up by seven. Overtime was pretty funny with Pittsburg calling timeout and then while the whistle blew, the kicker for tennessee kicked the field goal in. The guy thought the game was over and released the fireworks. But the game was not over with. There was still a timeout. Then the kicker Joe Nedy missed the field goal and then got a roughing the kicker penalty called on PIttsburg. Haha, then he finally made it. Ok... on to watch the rest of Philly/ATlanta game.
