Ong-Bak be sure to check it out. I haven't seen a fighting movie as good as this since Fist of Legend - loved seing Brads [4][6][K]+[G] used and that's just for starters. First real thai movie ever made imo.

How did you get to see it? Reading through the site you posted, a post in a thread said it wouldn't be released here until next year.

I'm very anxious to see it. What's the story about? What's the time period (historical, or modern day)? Is it a good, well-rounded movie in terms of story, execution, and action (like Last Samurai), or is it a Kung Fu-type movie (which I also enjoy very much /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

Sorry for all the questions, but it's about frickin' time they made a muay thai movie /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Got it, weirdly enough, at a mma ftp (dvd quality) and with subs so it should be out for you to buy on you local direct connect video store.

The story is kinda dorky; farm boy wants head back for statue in village, farm boy goes to town, farm boy kicks as cause he gets into trouble he doesnt want to. You'll watch it for fight sequences basicly (a fun chase scene or two and some humor other then that).

    You got mail.

I just saw this movie a couple of days ago. I was at a friends Boxing Day party and one guy decided to bring it and show it to us. Well, we didn't actually see the entire film, he showed us all the fight scenes and many there are plenty. This film has some really good fight scenes. Watching this guy give repeated elbows to the top of people's skulls had us jaw-dropped. He's really gifted, this guy can jump as high as NBA All Stars. No joke.

My favorite scene is this one thug who has no real martial art skill, he just grabs stuff and throws it at you. He trashed the whole bar just grabbing signs and smashing over the lead guys head. When he ran out of signs he grabbed some plates and saucers and just kept chucking them. Too funny.
