I've wanted this game for so long and now the wait is finally over. I found one locally at an insanely good price! I can imagine not many people care, but I can't wait to record some footage of glitches and such and post them. The novelty of this game will NEVER wear off for me which is why, out of all VF games, this is the one I want to own. This is the only version where I don't get tired of playing the CPU.

    Unblockable SPoD, here I come.
Single palm your crouching ass onto your behind, here I come.
Jump 100 feet in the air, here I come.
Freeze frame glitch, here I come.
Look at you from one level above glitch, can't wait!

that's awesome. so you got the whole machine, not just a board?

I, for one, think that's fantastic. I love VF2. you also get Shun with his counter glitch - every move in a combo after a counter launcher did counter damage. ouch.

For the record, SPoD wasn't unblockable, it was just a throw. starter.

I did some glitch testing on the M2 Emulator.

Yep, the whole original cabinet! And for only $200!! I couldn't believe it!

So is there something you have to do to get the counter glitch with Shun, or does it always work no matter what? I started playing Shun in VF3TB so I can't wait to try him out in VF2.

Your first vid showed me something I've never seen. I assume you just try to throw your jumping opponent right after time runs out??

I remember finding out another jumping glitch that I'll post in the next few days. If you try to jump right before the winning replay happens, during the winning pose your character will jump but there isn't any jumping animation. He just leaves the ground in the same jumping height and distance but in a standing stance. It looks hilarious! The timing is extremely difficult though to make this work. The only time I could ever do it was against CPU Jeffry because the pattern to beat him allowed the jump timing to work perfectly. Now I'll just have to remember the pattern. It's been 15 years.

And your last vid has the best cameo ever - Jacky's face down / head toward low rising breakdance kick!!! [IMG] That move was taken out of every version, even the PC version. And I guess Jacky doesn't remember how to do it anymore. Did you do that on purpose? Either way, NICE!!!

That's a sweet deal for the cab! nice grab.

Shun counter glitch just requires the first hit to be a counter. you might need one drink but I don't think so.

sky throw - just before time runs out losing opponent jumps into the air. grounded player does throw of choice.

I gotta load the pc version tonight and test that. I don't recall any move being removed from VF2 PC. to answer your question I didn't put it in there on purpose, it just happened.

Let me know, I'm curious. I swear it wasn't in there, and it would be odd that they would remove just that move. It makes me wonder if anything else is missing.

    Thanks Shag for the congrats!

well I'll be jiggered. a similar looking move remains but definitely not the same animation. that's...weird.

I just thought of another anomaly about Jacky in VF2. In a very early official release of command information it stated that Jacky could do P P <- P K. Does anyone remember this?

Man, I can't believe how aggrevating it has been trying to just put new buttons and joysticks in my VF2 cabinet. I should have done more research before I ordered Seimitsu sticks because apparently without extensive modding you cannot put those or Sanwa sticks into American cabinets easily. I already bit the bullet and just ordered Happ Competition sticks. I will say however that I am very used to those sticks when it comes to VF2 and VF3 so I don't mind much.

Even more frustrating, my Sanwa snap-in buttons just arrived on Saturday and I found that they don't fit by less than 1mm. So yesterday I went to the hardware store and bought a file. It takes about 5 minutes per hole and a ton of elbow grease. I only finished one side before I said, screw this I'm gonna finish the other side later. But it works! Thank God!

I'd kill to remove my air hockey table downstairs to put in an arcade machine. That'd be awesome.

wouldn't it be easier (and less felonious) to just do that? doesn't seem like something that would require an act of murder.

    Maybe I'm overthinking this.

Well, when you run into the damn thing in the middle of the night when you try to walk to the bathroom, murder tends to become an option.
