What would you list as some of your top 10 setups? I mean like
flowchart stuff. My Lei Fei is too stiff I think. I want to flow
    like the wind.

    (It's a trap!)

sup twp;) sorry about my crappy playin today on 2p side, my jammed middle and ring finger on the right hand make it pretty impossible for me to 11 dash. I'm fine on 1p side, but... without forward crouchdash, im fairly useless lol. To top it all off, my hori stick's guard button seems to be intermittent:\ I was really looking forward to giving you some replay material to encourage your lei too:\

anyways, about the flow charts, they're only really useful from like 5th-9th dan skill level (thats where the player ought to be, not where they are) which you should have no problem beating anyway...
after that tho, at least in mirror matches, everyone and their sister knows the usual flow charts, so they wont work anymore anyway;)

rather than concentrating on flow charts, just save replays vs cozby and gank his tactics;)
    Thats what I did lol
I'd say by far the easiest way to get skill gains is to have mirror matches vs other leis and try to mimic the moves that are effective.

Hey wait a second, I just thought of something... Didn't you always like to hunt us? Did you pick up lei just to be more efficient at kicking out butts?

hahaha we were supposed to shun him (no pun)! But yeah save replays, display command inputs and eat popcorn. that's really all it takes. hey why not just spam like crazy? you seem so reluctant to

Of course I'm going to continue hunting you guys. Lei is like a
puzzle so it's fun to figure out where to attack when I KNEED to.
As far as learning how to kick your butts better; I do that pretty
    good already /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

Actually it urked me that when I played Lei once upon a time one of
yuz said that they were insulted all elitist like. So a couple of
days ago I decided to play him just to see how I'd do. I'm doing
pretty sexy but I lack flow charts. Imo knowing that people know
the general flow charts is why flow charts work. It's the reason
why my Jeffry works. You start the flow chart and then BREAK it.
You get a little schizo if you will. Just because someone
knows what comes next doesn't mean you have to do it. The
expectation gives you the advantage. Like me with Jeff....

Delay Knee "Momma Combo" Techroll, Destruction wave (k+g)
this is text book me. It can be beat easily by ducking or
spamming p,p,p immediately on getup. Replace k+g with something
more sexy like Knee if they start beating me out. If they stop
    knee Splash, 3K etc.....

That being said I'll try the saved replay thing the next time
I fight Risen Glory. Granted I could probably steal some combos
from Coz since that was the biggest thing that stood out in our
matches but....think there's some black book stuff for that.

Right now my Lei is all about noob sets with staggers and throws.
Top players struggle that shit with no issue.

    Lol@ TWP,
(assuming you are referring to our back and forth).
I wasn't being Elitist, but no need to go all necro--air jacky on that again.

    Work on max damage combos.
    Work on ranged attacks.
Play all of us and save replays, there is something positive to learn from each of us.

Sounds like you wanting to jump ahead of the natural progression b/c you want to get right in with the big dogs (as opposed to cutting your monk teeth on lower skilled players). 9 k+g is about all you need in monk on monk action. I find i've gotten excessively lazy when playing the crew, and just stand around waiting to crowbar that move--works fairly well. it could be your monk knee--but combo only does 51 pts of damage, still.
Other than that pretty standard stuff, develop a style and then deviate from your style. Jus' like any other charactar.

I see no big dogs here /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif That includes myself. Remember though game forums
are made to jump the natural progression. I did very well against Cozby, beat
VF5395, (no disrespect man you know you're my dog), played an injured etc Liz
with not much difficulty. My Lei is legit, looking for alternatives to what I've seen.
The most variety in flow I get from Cozby of course out of you all.

Too bad Risen Glory isn't on enough anymore. His lei is just HOT. Or at least was.
I'm not sticking to Lei though this is one of many steps I'm taking to try and
expand my game knowledge. (Otherwise I'll get bored and stop playing)

The most important stuff you need to know from Lei-Fei is his stance.

You will need to know which stances you can use from normal stance, what attacks can change into stances etc.

Okay now that I've played most of you guys any suggestions with my Lei? I know
I'm weak combo wise. I think I have to be more aware of my back turned options.
