Out of playing a moral style using a flowchart such as:

    on guard.

    /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gifguard cancel /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif.
    -------------

A strength is that it beats pretty much all attacking options other than your opponents 10 or 11 frame /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif in retaliation. Once you get the counter hit, or the stagger, you can finish with /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif(flamingo entry).

However if the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif is guarded then you're stuck with going into risky delays, fuzzy guarding, or the /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif which is a high attack that leaves Sarah at -4 on guard.

Can't forget to mention that Sarah's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif is trash and has no range whatsoever.

Now take a look at OM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif instead of /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif.

OM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif beats the all /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif retaliations from the opponent on guard, it also beats /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif, and even THROWS.

Keep in mind that this was tested in the dojo mode, with the reaction set for Guard and counterattacks 1-5. Stagger struggle set to Fastest(guarantee on counter hit), and Normal(guarantee on normal hit crouch stagger)Guarded /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif - OM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif won the exchange every single time.

But that's not where the best of it comes from. On a /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif flow, if the opponent gets into a crouching state you get the stagger for the confirmed K which in total does 38pts of damage.

Tested on Eileen, Jeffry, and Jacky:

    OM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif stagger in the dojo guarantees Jack Knife( /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif) combo on Jacky 53pts. On Eileen and Jeffry, /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif(flamingo) /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/ub.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif 50pts, 47pts on Jeffry depending on stance.

A safer option that can guarantee more damage? That's good for Sarah.

I haven't tested what combos can be done from crouch staggered OM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif for anyone else besides, Eileen, Jeffry and Jacky at this time.

EDIT: More testing shows that stagger set to fastest the CPU can struggle out of normal hit crouched stagger, but the same goes for a very late /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif which can be guarded against aswell. On counter hit the combos should connect, Jack Knife especially.

If we can find some good ways to apply this, Sarah's OM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif can be a better asset than /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif

    EDIT2:

Ok man ok, this is waaaay too inconsistent as far as counting the combo. Yet it gives off the same effect as if stagger, because of the float effect. I'm not understanding how staggers really work now, yet this stuff hits.

    Interesting stuff...

You asked about elbow flow charts up top... Sarah's elbow does suck compared to other characters. I've actually hit checked correctly getting a stagger with the elbow, and the follow up knee has whiffed. SUCKS! I don't know if it's because the knee was delayed or maybe it's open stance... need to test this. (This is one of the reasons why I haven't gotten around to updating the elbow stagger part of the wiki...)

Something I've found that works... at least after an opponent has been conditioned to elbow delayed knee is to switch to elbow -> throw.

Too bad there's not a /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif CPU option for jeffry. Is the risk of losing 1/2 a lifebar worth 9 points of damage?

So true. OM P needs to be use in 'specific' situations. It can never replace 6P and neither can 6P replace OM P.

    Offensive Movement.

    Tap /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/u.gif//forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/d.gif > /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif+/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/g.gif

From there input /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif or /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif for either attacks.

lol! I was kidding! I know what it is.
I don't think I would do this as a reliable flow. I find that her om gets interrupted up close all to often. Most people are not going to just stand there and let you continue a Sarah flow chart up close. She is too dangerous at that range. Or are you saying to do it after CH P? Still I wouldn't do it. I find it's best to use it from mid range.

    You mean a delayed one?

Cause otherwise it should be whiffing right?

It does suck that the dojo isn't thorough enough, it's frustrating that I can't test it on more moves and hit instead of just guard.

Also 9 more pts of damage? This is Sarah. Sometimes it's worth it.

Well, personally I have trouble getting used to the tight enough input of OM P. I guess I will get it down eventually, I admit I havent trained it that much yet.

P -> OM P is very useful string. The timing is very tight though.. Yet P -> elbow is also still very important. Personally Im after increasing my amount of options rather than finding some super-duper string that I would always use.

I have had 0 problems with Sarahs elbow, but I dont use elbow-knee nearly ever anyway (edit: as delay). More often I am using /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/b.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif to go into pressure and mixups. Or just the single elbow and punish opponent trying to punish the switch kick..

/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif - OM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif comes in handy because if it's blocked it's only at -3 unlike the -6 of an elbow, which put you into unfavorable situations at times. The usual timing of someone trying to strike inbetween /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif - /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif they will whiff.

A good move too is to just do /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif - OM empty and go for throw attempt against the overly defensive. Or do /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif - OM (empty)- /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif - OM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif to position yourself favorably when your opponent freezes upon site of the OM.

No. OM doesnt evade moves the same way that, well, evade does. Its evasive properties seem to be strictly animation related - e.g. you'll get weird stuff like only being able to avoid linear moves in one direction. Slower launchers, even if done immediately, will "track" and beat OM attacks. Note that this is entirely different from doing an actual evade and then an OM ( why would you be evading at advantage ? )

I don't know for certain that jeff's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif will beat om if done immediately. I'd be very willing to bet that jeff's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif will.

OM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif is very situational. But it's not worthless.

That's why P->6P is so important. Because your opponent can't come back with bullshit like sweep back, mid attack back, etc.

I think the best strategy with OM P is versus other light weights that usually use their P to get out of disadvantage. There you can use OM P to overcome and get higher advantage.

You can then use this in combination with P->Serpent to defeat and opponents slow move when they think that you OM. This is very good because Serpent Smash Cannon does excellent damage to the light weights, particularly Pai /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

But always stick with P->6P unless you know your opponent well.

Would it be feasible to construct the same scenario with a different approach?

The aim is to see if Jeffry's Knee executed from -2 (the situation after guarding Sarah's /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif) will beat Sarah's OM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif.

    1. Play as Jeffry and select Sarah as the CPU.
    2. Set the CPU to Guard and counterattack with OM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif.
    3. As Jeffry do his /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f_.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif, which leaves him -2 on Guard. After CPU Sarah guards, she will OM /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif.
    4. As Jeffry, as soon as your attack is guarded, try an Elbow (/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif), Knee (/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/f.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/k.gif), or Full Swing Upper (/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/df.gif/forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/p.gif), etc.
    Post your results?

I think OM P is meant to beat the opponents who try to punch or low punch their way out of small disadvantage and I think OM P is quite good at that. Whether or not there is some better option to beat those punches is another matter.

I found that Sarah is only safe against big moves like the Knee or Full Swing Upper if she OMs to Jeffry's back.
