    Anyone plays poker online?

I play at www.Partypoker.com. It's supposed to be the largest website for online poker.

My handle is maddy2893. Post your handle here if you play and add me to your buddy list so we can play together in the future.

I started playing it about 2 months ago a few times a week and recently made 23rd out of 3,500 entry in one of the multi-table tourneys they had.

I found poker pretty intense and fun as it is somewhat like VF in the aspect that reading your opponent and adjusting your style is very important in both.

    Anyway, hola at me. =)

'sup Maddy. I made a similar topic a while back:

    http://virtuafighter.com/versuscity/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/133476/an/0/page/2#133476

Anyways,I play at pokerchamps. Love their tables, none of the pokemon shit just straight up play. Probably gonna move to partypoker as there are more fish there.
For now I play @pchamps moneytables with the nick LaKieW. The competition there isn't 2 hard either but the higherstakes tables lack players.

If you're just starting out I recommend you to read a lot.
Sklansky's Theory of Poker is a good starting book. Books are really really worth it imo.

I've read a few books written by Doyle Brunson and Mike Caro. These books helped my game a lot. Also I go to www.poker1.com. to get information. They have online lectures and tips.

If you decide to switch to PP, let me know your handle.

    Everyone, shuffle and deal.

Nice, had never been to www.poker1.com. The design is ugly as hell but there is a lot of usefull stuff there so thanks! 2+2 forums are also a great resource otherwise Its mostly pure swedish pages like pokerforum.nu for me other then that ^___^

Nordic peeps will rule the pokerworld in 5years. (!!!11oneone)

I'll pm you when I move my lazy ass to PP. Suprised of the lack of interest in the thread - poker is like the new gameboy (or something).

I remember playing for pounds at school lol, how much do you guys spend (win/lose) on average as I guess this is the main negative point putting people off?

I'll rat you all out to the IRS*!

*Since IRS = USA, you cool European folks are safe.

100 bucks up and down basicly in a week. If you're not comfortable at the level your playing / with your bankroll then you shouldn't play there. That is, if it effects your judgment or it's to high of a level so you can't win regularly.
Money isn't really important, there are like 20cent tables (limit) at some places and 2.5 dollar sit n go's at some sites. 70% of pokerplayers are fish, 20 break even and 10% are winners in general.

GLC; It's funny shit that you can win a tourney in europe and you don't have to tax it but outside you have 2 /versus/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Yeah, about that... I'd rather not tell, the less people know it's me, the better. /versus/images/graemlins/wink.gif I'm weird like that. You may now ask "then why the fuck did you post in this thread?!" - like I said, I'm weird. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I just started, and played one quick game just to check it out. I think I was on a 25/NL table (play money of course) /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I play on 50 NL real money or 100K NL play money. If anyone from VFDC needs play money, I have about 25 mils to give away.

For real money, sorry but you are on your own. /versus/images/graemlins/lol.gif

What is the point of playing for play money? Just raise and reraise all the way no matter what you have, and when you run out, just get more play money. It's a waste of time, better to play the lowest real money stakes.
