Pad players and other questions

ok so im using a pad and wanted to know if using shortcuts good in general? also wanted to know since im playing with eileen does she have any counters that go into throws, i know she has a deflect move but does she have anycounter throws?

 

I don't have a problem with people using combination-buttons if they're using a pad in VF5. It doesn't break the game in any way and people should be able to control the game (the competition is what's most important anyways).

That said, if I'm ever in a situation where the only way for me to play VF is on a pad, I prefer using a config like Square = Guard, R1 = Punch, and R2= Kick. The reason being that each finger has a "comfortably" designated button and with VF's love of button combinations, it works quite well for me. Furthermore, it is preferable to use a PS2 controller (with the Pelican adapter) if you have to use a pad. The PS3's R2 is a weird wannabe trigger that isn't all that ideal for this type of config in VF.

About Eileen, I don't think she has a reversal that goes into a throw. But it's not all that important anyways, not in VF in general imo. Sad part about Eileen is that I think her throw game is really weak. But she has a lot of strengths /forums/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif

plus, i still can't hang against ppl who 2p the crap out of me -_-. i can sometimes, but it's still an uphill battle.
