Parasite EVE discussion

Did any of u guys play this classic survival horror action/RPG?
I know that Square Enix is making a 3rd game called, The 3rd Birthday being released this winter in Japan and next year for NA and Europe. They are also thinking about releasing PE1 and 2 as PSone classics for PS3 and PSP.

For those of you that never played this series and are interested in it, I'll be happy to summarize the story.

 

I've played this series many years ago. It's been so long. I'm thinking of completing these two, because the character Aya had special powers, which the characters from Resident Evil and Dino Crisis didn't have. Indeed that's something that I look for, because my interests is known not to last long if the character has no special power and/or unique self defense art about them.

I would probably buy the third one as well.

 

I'm glad someone finally replied to this discussion, also if The 3rd Birthday sells well, Square Enix will consider making a new Parasite EVE game for current gen consoles.

 

i loved that game when I was younger. I wish I could read the book the game was based on but i can't read japanese

It's a good book by the way, I usually don't like to read books but this got me interested. A little graphic, it partially centers around Aya Brea's mother as a young teenager.

 

That's great news man. I loved this game back in the late 90's. I'm going to be buying both part 1 and 2 as classics on my PS3 and depending on the reviews I may buy the 3rd one.

I loved the first PE and just kinda liked the second. They changed the gameplay a fuck ton between the two games. I liked 1 a lot more.

Game was hard as balls but was just so well paced. I might have to go search for an old used copy to put in my ps2.
