Parents went to Japan

Trying to think of anything I should have them pick up..is hardware like joysticks cheaper over there? Anything else...I was considering having them get a VF.NET card for me, but it would be kinda pointless Any ideas guys?

 

beat tribe tournaments? They're on VHS and prolly not too expensive.
Any other evo DVD's they can find maybe?

Sticks should be 10-20 bucks cheaper I'd imagine because you don't have to import...

A VF.net card is neat to have, and who knows, maybe you'll travel to one of the USA locations that support it.

Thats actually pretty funny, as a joke, I was contimplating having my dad go get bukkai..I could just imagine the look on his face when he askes "I am looking for bukkai, where can I Find some"...but it would be second hand funny...and then he would kill me ...I will ask him about the beat tribe tapes.
What joystick do you recomend...I don't want another Horri VF stick...someone said sal has an awesome joystick, what is the name of that one?

 

Well, it would be funny in the "Bukkai isn't actually a WORD, what the hell is this dumbass gaijin talking about" sort of sense to the Japanese people involved.

Seriously though, there are tons and tons of cheap game related merchandise there. Find something that's in demand in the US and have your parents find them, bring them back and Ebay them here.

Personally, I can think of tons and tons of stuff I'd like to get in japan, but it just depends on how much you are connected to the asian culture. For example, there are tons of dvd's, unique clothing, food, otaku memorabilia, music that I'd buy in japan, not to mention the tons and tons of "A Biru".

hehe though i think japanese rock is not popular in the US.but u can ebay them and fetch good prices =)

 

1: Japanese porn is flat out awful - it reflects there poor skills in cinematography, and their adversity to plastic surgery -- also the mosaic is quite distracting. I've never figured this out. Anyone can get get a handy or more for $50, but you can't see anything below the waste in videos.

2: There's so much game crap here, you'd have to change your diapers if you spent 2 hours in Akihabara. HOWEVER, it's almost pointless to get anyone else to pick it up for you, as it's one of those "you see something you like and buy it" things.

3: It's likely not hard to get an Evo card sent to you. /versus/images/graemlins/smile.gif

4: Why are your parents going w/ out you. Seems like cruel and unusual punishment.
