Patch request list

    Not saying the game isn't awesome, but maybe we can post ideas here for SEGA to fix things, make the game more awesome , though I don't think a patch is needed for a few months- make sure this is the last revision.

    Nothing gameplay related, just UI stuff/bugs here if possible.


    First request: allow the host to kill the lobby timer in lobbies

    Second request: Blazblue/HDR/Skullgirls-style button checks

    Third request: Allow folks to see connection strengths when selecting custom match in player match.

    About your third request, i can see connection strengths. They come up if you wait a bit.

    Maybe the ability to reject any challenge that has a connection of less than 2 bars in ranked?

    We have button checks already. I don't get why you need the second request.


    For your first request I don't understand why the timer is 30 secs then an additional 5 secs.

    I believe we are able to refuse a match already. So, waiting for the bars to update and then deciding to play or not will likely be par for the course.

    I think there should be the following:
    -Able to see an image of ur custom character when selecting from the data rather than having "Sarah001, Sarah002, Sarah003" etc. similar to soul calibur 4 and 5.
    -Able to have matches with NO voice chat as an option, i prefer not hearing the voices of people when i fight them.
    -I'm guessing this IS possible in 360 version but allow custom music playable while in ONLINE matches.
    -Allow stage selection in online matches.

    The timer is the only thing that bothers me! Although it's only about a minute it's a minute to long to wait for the next match especially when it's CLEAR as day whose turn it is. Other than that I think the game and online features are solid.

    And you can see your connection with an opponent if you wait a few seconds before you accept. I also thought you couldn't until you accepted so for like my first 10 minutes online I was rejecting matches because I thought they were all gray bars.

    Saddens me to hear about this timer between matches online. Offline this game is dangerous, there's like NO wait between matches, the load times are nuts. Before you know it, 50 matches have gone by haha.

    The only thing that has bothered me so far is the very loud and ear-hurting BLINK-sound when moving in the customization menus. I suppose theres a sound setting somewhere where I can tone it down though.

    I think it would increase loading times, so Im happy without. Soon I remember all the ones I have. You can just name the costume slots btw..

    The game is awesome, really really really awesome. At the moment, it feels like it was worth the wait [​IMG]

    However, the lobby timer needs to be patched, waiting 30 seconds after every match is just way too long. Like suggested earlier, it would be great if the host could just skip the timer or something.

    This feels like something that could hurt the game in the long run if it's not patched.

    Sweet additions def and well said, i'd like to add to that if i may with a few myself


    - "A super hard CPU level" that also stores your best combos and uses them against you in; Arcade, Dojo, free training modes and matches. Akin to VF2's home console version but more advanced here with FS.

    - "Survival mode" (Strange this isn't in FS).

    - "Story mode", even if done with the addition of still pictures and voice-over narration.

    - Different subtitles option. placed over the character intros and win quotes dialogues that aren't in English. And thus translate what the characters are saying during their victory/win & lose poses.

    Certainly would help the VF with a newer audience with FS updates if the characters and their win quotes were more understood etc?

    - A whole ton of hidden win poses from the FS arcade version when you score a perfect win on an opponent! Also take some from previous VF games (I so miss Lion's; "Why am i so great" speech win quote from VF4).

    Major revision

    - An option to pick the previous; VF5 Vanilla characters [version D] (by maybe holding *start* while choosing your main pick?). This move would be akin to say; Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo that allowed you to pick the older SSF2 characters and regain their older moves while dropping their FS revised changes. This way for example certain VF characters would regain the noted signature moves they've lost since the many changes prior to FS like; Jeffry's Splash Mountain, Kage his old 10-foot toss animation and a list of other differences. And in the case of Jean and Taka they'd seen the return of their old VF5-R moves instead as a subtle option for those wanting alternate versions of them as well.

    A move like this would definitely open up a wealth of options for players choosing characters in the future during casuals, online matchups or for tournaments. And maybe some of those vanilla characters have advantages the FS do not (Vanilla's throw escape Vs FS's, dropped VF5 moves Vs The FS revised editions).

    - "A VF5:FS shop" on the main options screen. To make and customise the game's "desktop" appearence. And thus to make changes to the backdrop of the game title itself. Similar to VF4/VF4Evo but more advanced here is all? Change the colours, background music of the select screen, alter the audio sounds channels of various sound effects (i.e. more options that the current FS doesn't have.)

    Make more accessible custom items optional with addition DLC upgrades to FS.

    - Increases lobbies.

    - Revised older VF; Background stages. From previous VF games in the series; VF2, VF3 (especially VF3's uneven stages), VF4 (home console version additions stages, VF4Evo and FT) and some of the VF5 vanilla stages. As later DLC.

    - Additional Remixed VF series BGM soundtracks in later patches.

    - All of the VF5 intro vids from all the VF5 games in a; movie intro option.

    - A 'Watch mode'. (what VF4 had etc).

    Hopefully SEGA can fix the timer issue, and host has the privilege to control it.

    one thing that training mode in vf5 had was the ability to have inputs and command on screen at the same time

    also assigning music to a stage would be great cos i love both vf2 and vf3 music

    Regarding the timer; does everyone realise that people can only join the lobby during the countdown? It seems impossible to join the lobby during a match. If the countdown was too short it could become very difficult to find lobbies.

    i dont like the room at all.
    just gimme a 'create session' at player matches, so i can invite my friends to a private 1 on 1 and i'm happy.
    there is no countdown in player matches.

    Because toggling through attacks is hot garbage and always will be. Being able to have the attacks listed on the side and press the button you want takes a lot less time. It's only a 3 button game but there are assh...people that like to use button mapping for whatever reason.

    Also when using a custom stick that isn't labeled it's hard to know which is which considering it can dual-modded and a six button stick can leave some people perplexed (moreso than using macros for a 3 FUCKING BUTTON GAME).

    We ran into this problem at NWM 4 this past weekend. When someone accidently picked the character they didn't want, they exited out to the Main Menu, and it resets all 5 (six if you include Standard) button maps.

    The push-button is a million times more intuitive. They should keep the screen that you can to make sure it's what you want, for safety. Cycling through buttons is the dumbest shit, yet Japan loves it for some reason.

    I'm all for a patch if they can fix this one thing.

    Shout-out to Zass for calling out Sega on commentary during NWM4.

    Another idea on my part:

    allow private player matches, and invites to player matches for 1vs1 set play and a rematch option like what Vanilla VF5 got post-patch
