I using pad, and I have difficulty of performing Akiras knee attack quikly. Since I need my both hands, Im vulnerable to any attack when Im about to do it.
I been buffering move after [P][K], but that´s thing I cant do continously against humans. So, I´ve been looking for a situations, where it´d propably be best used, without giving my opponent chance to do whatever they like.
I´d like to know where you other Akira players use it.

There is no perfect places for the knee. My suggestiong is do the knee when your opponent's energy is down to almost nothing and are just about to get up from a knock down. Then make them shine your knee if they dare try to do something.

I believe pad players who can do the knee only use their one hand; using the three middel fingers on their right hand as if on a stick.

Don`t know about those moves, though.

Akira's knee can be used as a floater(which is one of the best in the game), but the best place for the knee would be for a bounce combo. It can be used as a substitution of DBC on wall combos etc and it is better than DBC since if you use DBC and your opponent quick rising after he got hit by that, you are vernerable to attacks. Akira's knee is safe and if they missed timing on techrolling, you can get a free downattack.

(Edit: Sanjuro explained this concept more throughly for the pupose of emphasis. Thanks, Sanjuro. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

Open stance MC yoho/knee, p, shrm, dbpm you can replace the dbpm with knee for the same damage (90pts) up to Akira. For some reason on normal hit floats the dbpm gives you more damage than the knee ender though, if I'm not mistaken.

I don't know...if you end a round with LBF you can OTB juggle 4 knees before the next round starts if you want a totally useless place to fit a few in.

MC SDE>knee isn't the worst thing in the world if you don't have time for the DJK/sgpm>de since TR=death but since having time for the knee is the big problem here I guess this won't help you.

Dbpm>(wall)>knee or SPoD>(wall)>knee or b,f p+g (wall) p,k>knee are all fairly common & really good spots to use knee & often your best option. You can use DBC in place of knee too if you want a sliver more damage & aren't afraid of their instant recovery. (edit: I wrote all this & saw that Maddy posted but I'll let it stay cause I'm goofy like that. /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif)

I hesitate to suggest you track down a stick or change the way you hold the pad to accomidate Akira's movelist but at the same time I don't want to suggest you go for MC's using two handed knees. Good luck!

I´m using knee already in wall combos/combos, since that´s really only place I have time to concentrate. But I´d like to use it as a floater too( mostly because it looks cool, and second..well check my signature...97damage...)
I could try it with one hand, but everytime I try I fail 9/10, so I´m not going to change my two hand teghnique, with having a success rate of 9/10 with it. Im just too slow with it ( 2-4 seconds vulnerability, except in combos, where I can buffer it )... /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif /versus/images/graemlins/frown.gif

PS: If I finish my opponent with [P]+[G] or [3][P]+[G] throw, I´ll jump over my opponents body and perform knee with back turned...now thats useless...

In reply to your comment about your sig you don't have to use knee:

    knee/yoho(MC)>P>knee/yoho>m-dbpm

in closed stance Vs LWs (generally) will get you up to 97, so you can just use two yohos. There are other ways of reaching 97 on counter as I came up with a few the other day...can quite recall them atm.

It IS very useful as a float though as on counter it'll really float em high. I tend to use it off a wall or in a combo (sometimes knee>P>knee>m-dbpm just for a laugh). The only other place I use it is 3 in a row after match taunt (sometimes its DLC or AS3 depending on how they fall) /versus/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

The truly main reason I want to use knee instead of yoho is that knee is not guaranteed hit move. Im going to leave yoho out of my attack patterns.
And, yoho--[P]--yoho--[2_][4][6][P] works only in Aoi and Pai, like you know. Using knee instead of first yoho will make the combo work on Sarah, Vanessa, Brad and Goh too,in closed foot position Kage and Lau. Not sure of the rest of the characters....
