I'am a new VF player and i fucking love this game. The question i wanted to ask is why do some people keep switching characters in player match? I understant that you should play whatever charcarter you please but sometime it's quite frustrating as a noob when your adversary keeps changing characters. Sometime i come accros a superior player, he beats the crap out of and as soon as i win a match he changes. Sometime even before, just when i think i figured his play style. But the worst is when they suddently pick my own character (the beautifull Sarah). Yes it's possible that they also play Sarah but not all of them! I am under the impresion that these people think that Sarah is cheat but maybe i read too much into it (and no, i'm not spamming the sommersault :D)
The point i'm trying to makeis that for a noob, it's sometimes hard to learn the game in this conditions. So please, kick my ass all day long but at least give me a chance to get better at the game.

    PS:Sorry for my english.

For some people (like me) it gets boring playing the same character over and over, and if I am winning a lot the likely-hood of swapping characters is even higher.

You should be happy to have the opportunity to practice against more than 1 character in a session, especially if your opponent is great at the game. Don't read into silly things like the opponent is trying to show me up with my own character or whatever. Instead spend that energy trying to read your opponent and improving. ;)

Yep I agree with Kamais, playing a character over and over can get boring. Its good to get to know how to play more than one character. It also helps to ask people for tips to improve your gameplay. This site has a bunch of info and members who will be glad to help you out :)
