1. Hey Guest, looking for Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown content? Rest assured that the game is identical to Virtua Fighter 5: Final Showdown so all current resources on here such as Command Lists with frame data, Combo Lists and the Wiki still apply. However, you can expect some VF5US specific changes to come soon!

    hello.

now that VF5 is upon us for X360...is there a way i can use my PS pad??? of course, i want a converter with ZERO lag, and if possible...i want the ability to use Dual Shock, and not so much Sixaxis.

is there such a converter yet??? thank you!

Theoretically, you could try a PS2 to USB converter, but realistically I don't know if that would work.

Unless I'm mistaken, and I often am, that converter will still not let you play on a VSHG, as that's a PS3 controller, and that converter only allows PS2 controllers.

    I really need a PS3 to 360 converter! Really!

just buy a ps3 and a VSHG.. Real Time is where the real VF comp is at.. I would of never waited for the 360 ver of VF5 . I dont think tourneys will be held on it either.. since most hardcore fighting gamers have and should buy a PS3..

REAL HARDCORE DONT WAIT.. I have a strong feeling the next VF5 major revision will hit PS3 only.. So if there is a VF5 evo it will be on ps3 even if I had to import I would.. 360 sales suck bad in japan and thats what determines console ports on this side of the woods.

    Come on

    ^wtf?

Are you kidding me? 360 version has freaking ver. C arcade upgrade. That alone is all I need, not online play. Tournaments are going to use which ever version is more convient. Which means 360 version, unless the PS3 gets cheaper, upgraded to ver. C, etc.

To be honest, the best route for stick players looking at the 360 ver is:

#1 invest in hori stick (possibly mod in future)
#2 look for a stick builder to make you a good stick
#3 learn to build your own sticks

The only hardcore game inclusive to PS3 anyway is Tekken. How is that "every hardcore fighting gamer"? I know a lot of SF gamers that invested in the 360, and I know probably some GG players and ALL smash players invested in the Wii.

The Point is this man.. Almost all 360's have heat problems and in Japan its being out sold in every way by the ps3 .. If sales suck for VF5on ps3 and X360 here int he USA and a new Version is only available in Japan then that would leave it open for optional import on PS3.. Tekken is the business tho so yeah that counts hard. and the 360 blows for joysticks and what not.. i am no fan boy.. I do however play Tekken and VF and I would like to be able to have both especially since Tekken 6 is shaping up nicely.. I dont play DOA thats trash so I dont have a need for a 360 ... GGXX AC is coming to PS3 Network and thats pretty hardcore in japan and its the latest installment.. Now this si only in Japan but we can get it here in the USA..

PS3 is the system of choice imo for hardcore Fighting fans cause it will have every major franchise even the once exclusive to PS3

right now, seems like the 360 version is the "hardcore" choice for VF fans.

Dude, do I care if 360 is selling good in japan? I have a first generation Xbox 360 that my family got when it came out, hasn't overheated yet so i really don't care. Here is something relevant to me:

    1. 360 is cheaper than the PS3
    2. 360 VF5 will have version C.
    3. 360 VF5 will have all the new items from arcade.
    4. 360 VF5 will have a revamped training mode.
    5. 360 VF5 will have online play for exposure.
    6. 360 has a MASSIVE installed user base in the USA, aka the country I live in.
    7. While I may not get VHGS, it is very easy to hack a 360 controller PCB (unlike laggy analog PS3 pads)and either make a custom stick or throw it in a VHGS with a rotary switch. Or I can just buy the Hori stick, beat it in till it breaks, then mod it.

Man kids... I can agree the 360 will have the better ver of VF5 for now.. The U.S is always behind in Fighting game Versions tho So I am sure the next VF version will be shown at TGS..

I am not trying to argue just that who was to know that Sega would of bung vf to 360 .. Hardcore fans should of bought a PS3 and VF5 DAY 1 .. Heck I imported VF5 .. If the next revision goes to 360 I will be surprised and I will re buy a 360

    Good gaming

Besides speculation and advice for people with unlimited funds, how about some advice for us dudes that already forked out for two sticks for the PS3? We need a converter, stat!

^ Just because it has a new intro doesn't mean they changed the system. I'm sure one of the UK guys (Opti, Jide?) noticed the domestic arcade release had a ver. C intro but had ver. B system properties.

Speaking of nonsense, that rep is clueless. He didn't know that VF5 would be released for US arcades and he mentioned the Nori joystick will be out when 360 version is released. I haven't watched the full vid yet, not sure if I should bother after hearing him BS through the interview.

I am 100% sure that the Xbox 360 VF5 is version C. I'm sure Jide can confirm to make it official, but my friend at Official Xbox 360 Magazine (UK) has been playing as Sarah for the last two days and he's done nothing but email me about how much better she is now. Which is quite tiresome since he won't talk to me about El Blaze AT ALL.

We're regulars on the PS3 version, and the 360 version is different, so if it's not version C then I don't know what it is.
